What's the logic in letting a software like Modo simply die? I get if you have a competitive software (XSI vs Maya) but for The Foundry, Modo is their sole general 3D software.
Is the reason that it's simply not worth finding a seller, and the tax write off is better?

@guycalledfrank I hope one day you reconsider this because Bakery is incredible, but I mainly use Godot. I've been told Bakery can also output to vertex color, which is something Godot can't do with its current lightmap situation.
So, does anyone need Bakery for Godot? 🤪
If there are any good sources of information for Godot extension development and the way lightmaps are stored/assigned there, pls send in replies, maybe I'll hack some prototype
any 3d game where u visit very distinct worlds/dimensions? not the typical "lava region", but completely different worlds and a few of them, not an isekai
@80Level Terrible news. It often feels like Autodesk has no idea what they're doing or direction these past 10 years or so. Max has been in such a mediocre state for a while.
Maya and 3ds Max developer Autodesk has laid off 1,350 workers – around 9% of the entire workforce – to "accelerate investments" in AI.
This number of job cuts exceeds the total amount the video game industry has suffered in 2025 so far:

I sometimes make weird low-poly stuff I don't show off to the public. However, I enjoyed how this came out, so I wanted to post it here. A gun partly inspired by the Unreal Tournament (1999) Enforcer.

As many new features are being added to BG Auto-Scroll in version 2.0 I've needed to clean up the help window a bit.
Hopefully you like the new style and it feels much cleaner then the previous wall of text XD
@SomethinNerdy Looks amazing. Very much looking forward to this.
I've been reading your blog entries on the development of this game, and it's highly intriguing all the technicalities/work that went into this to really push the NES so far, both graphically and musically. Keep it up!
Dev update for Former Dawn, an upcoming RPG for the NES and PC!
* revised town gfx
* upgraded character portraits
* fleshed out dialog box
* added sunbeam env. effect
It all works on NES hardware, but the song will be used elsewhere in the final version.
