It's funny how AI has made white collar work 10x faster already but there's been basically no economic impact from it. The reason is quite simple: 1. Most white collar work is bullshit, so speeding it up by 10x still equals a pile of bullshit at the end 2. Most white collar employees are using AI to do all their work for the week in 4 hours instead of 40, whilst telling their manager the deadline is still 40 hours away We have been living in a fake economy for the better part of two decades. It is all a fugazi. People who do real jobs in the real world get paid comparatively crap, and people who do fake jobs in the fiat Ponzi world get paid just enough fiat currency to pretend they are important. None of it amounts to anything productive nor valuable for the world though. An entire generation doing fake email jobs, slide decks and excel sheets for corporations who ultimately produce nothing.

I spent the first 25 years of my life in Portland, Oregon. I have seen, with my own two eyes, the real world consequences of far-Left political ideology. Neighborhoods - destroyed. Crime rates - skyrocketing. Small businesses - gutted. Homeless population - through the roof. Illegal aliens - everywhere. Housing costs - stratospheric. Public parks and playgrounds - littered with used needles. Sidewalks - covered in graffiti and human feces. Your old friend from highschool - overdosed, dead. 99% of people really do not understand abundance as Elon describes it. The fundamental reason is that they don’t understand compound growth. Same people who would probably pick 1 million dollars today over a penny that doubles in value every day for 30 days. It’s a bad choice by the way. You lose out on millions. Imagine if that doubling object was a labor producing robot instead of a penny. Compounding labor. It’s actually crazy if you try and wrap your mind around it. So Elon mentions Universl High Income and the midwits flip a lid. “The elites won’t share” You don’t get it. They won’t need to share. They will make everything so cheap, it is effectively free. Charities will have immense resources to distribute. Unfathomable intelligence will exist to help optimize production and distribution. An unfathomably large labor pool will exist that operates on solar power exclusively. The public work projects that are erected will be unseen before levels of breathtaking. I think we are incredibly blessed to steward this new age of abundance. Can you see it now? Can you see the future?

Overcoming scarcity isn’t the problem. There are two other problems: - infinite abundance won’t do anything to satiate the need of Cain to slaughter Abel. Cain will now have infinite resources - what are we going to do about the fundamental psychological shock of not knowing how to evaluate (self) worth? Purpose? Goals? I really think it's important that we teach every child in the United States that the indians are not "native" at all. They crossed an ice bridge from Asia to Alaska, and during their migration down across the continent caused the mass extinction of every large mammal in the Americas. Including but not limited to: Woolly Mammoth, Columbian Mammoth, Jeffersonian Mammoth, Jefferson Ground Sloth, Harlan’s Ground, Sloth, Glyptodon, American Horse, Camelops, American Lion, Saber-toothed Cat, American Cheetah, Dire Wolf, Short-faced Bear, and the Giant Armadillo.
