@Oak_Jon_Ast @timothy_is11431 @VikingRobVWO My point is that it wasn't malicious. This flaw was brought up after they had already built multiple reactors and would require significant overhaul of the reactors. But they never expected anyone to fuck up so incredibly that it would ever be a real concern. Hindsight 20/20

Of course I would cared. It’s not a refinery. We are playing with nuclear energy here. The consequences may be fatal for hundreds of thousands of people and affect numerous countries. My point is of course the plant managers and juniors enginneers did lots of things wrong and reckless. Because they believe they can shut down the reactor at any point in case of an emergency. Which they not, someone forgot to tell them in that particular scenario that would cause an explosion and nuclear meltdown. Pretty sure those two things should be warned to everybody operating that type of reactor.

Why don't you just tell people the only reason Chernobyl happened is because the soviets were cheap asses and coated the boron rods with graphite instead of lead so it got stuck trying to reinsert, and that anyone competent can build an extremely efficient reactor without fear of a meltdown? And then let's get busy on driving energy costs down.

What questions do you have about nuclear energy? 🤔

@Oak_Jon_Ast @timothy_is11431 @VikingRobVWO And the reason they had the graphite tips was because no one imagined a situation in which this was possible. It was a one in a million scenario. If someone brought up a safety tip about something that would require a hundred other safety regs to be breached. Would you care?

@Oak_Jon_Ast @timothy_is11431 @VikingRobVWO I have to ask, are you getting this information from the Chernobyl HBO mini series or somewhere else? Because the miniseries exaggerated a shitload of stuff. This being one of them. It was the final blow but there were a hundred other things that went wrong first

@rushicrypto Oh you are so close to adopting Marxism. Youre literally right around the corner. Altruism or "charity" is a flaw of the system. A proper system wouldnt need to rely on a billionaire having a brief moment of empathy

@barbarismcrit Didn't know that and it doesn't shock me at all. There are dozens of companies that were directly involved with the Nazis and are still around today. What truly shocked me was learning how popular the Nazis were in the US in the 1930s. That mentality doesnt just disappear

@tiberiusfiles This is something ive found interesting about the discussion around Judaism. Because at it's heart the religion claims they are gods chosen. Does that not naturally lead to where Israel is right now? Purely talking about theology. But there's so much stigma around it

The ultimate lib fantasy: facts will win the war against fascism and AI will handle the unpleasant work of arguing! It’s utterly naive idealism mixed with a total misunderstanding of the technology. AI just affirms biases and the people profiting from it are all fascist elites
James Medlock@jdcmedlock

There are papers that suggest rural broadband accelerated polarization by exposing people to internet. It'd be funny if a rural Claude Pro for All program reversed that by exposing people to facts.

@plasmarob Ive noticed a trend with people defending red, that I would love a study on it. Every single one ive seen has reposts of bigoted tweets or right wing tweets. Without fail, so it does not shock me that they choose the selfish option and get upset for being exposed to themselves

Do you think it’s just like a weird, random accident that 99% of the people with appropriate skillsets do not believe in Marxism? You don’t think that correlation says anything at all about Marxism itself?
Yves St. Nihil 🏭📕@NihilNothings

It's unfortunate that Marxism found appeal with the theatre kids first rather than the STEM kids who'd have the necessary skillset in advancing the productive forces for the transition towards socialism and the endgame of communism.

For me, Halo 3 was the most repayable because it's fun (minus Cortana), has 4 player co-op, one backtrack mission in Floodgate, and it isn't painfully difficult on Legendary. Also first time in the franchise, you hunted achievements! Is the story top tier? No, not really. Lol

STEM unfortunately got oneshot by people pretending Economics is a real science so STEM guys got into shit like Objectivism & Utilitarianism and now instead of organizing logistical lines they're calculating the ideal number of children to torture to increase shareholder value.

@cluelesswiiuser @PalmyrPar I disagree, every major news network in the west smears communism any chance they get. Things have gotten better, and they have to be less brazen but they are absolutely still anti communist media. Communism is still not taught in public school, most Americans dont understand it

@ProlixR6 @PalmyrPar I think his point is that it's not the do-ers who are adopting Marxisim. The do-ers don't need Marxism to hold up their ideals. There has been next to no anti-commie media for decades, if anything it's pro. And yet, the same people follow suit. Correlation or Causation?
