CALIFORNIA HAIRCUT LIFELINE California Offers Life-Saving Haircut to Its Bureaucracy and Retirees 💇‍♂️ CA's fiscal house is on fire: $1.37T+ in debt, $265B+ unfunded pensions (CalPERS ~$166B, CalSTRS ~$39B). Bold fix: Give every state/local employee, retiree, judge, and elected official a real choice: Option A: Take a guaranteed 40% cut to salary/pension (cash only). Option B: Keep 100% pay — but get 50% in 20-year CA bonds. Skin in the game! This turns bureaucrats & decision-makers into fiscal watchdogs. Voluntary. Market discipline. Long-term thinking. No more kicking the trillion-dollar can. Judges & politicians who opt in suddenly care if bonds go to zero. What do you think, CA? Time to align incentives?
Molly O’Shea@MollySOShea

BREAKING: David @friedberg says "California is functionally bankrupt" "People don't realize how screwed California is, & I worry that if California falls, so does the union. "$250 billion to $1 trillion short." "This is because for California to get rescued would be a big cost to red states, & I think it creates in the years ahead a lot of tension." "California's functional bankruptcy is a major risk to the country. & I think we need to figure out what we can change to fix it." How we got here: "California has a public pension system, & that public pension system retirees have paid into it & they get some benefits out, & the amount that they're owed back out is somewhere between $250 billion - $1 trillion dollars more than has been paid in. $250 billion to $1 trillion short. If it was the federal government, it would be like, okay, we'll just print more money. California doesn't have the ability to print money, so California has to pay this out, and you can't restructure retirement benefits. There is a Supreme Court case in California that said that once an employee has been offered retirement benefits, even if they're currently an employee, you can never restructure their retirement benefits. It has to stay forever, and the state cannot declare bankruptcy. There's no way for the state to functionally declare bankruptcy. There's no law to allow it. No state has ever declared bankruptcy, and the retirement benefits sit senior to the bonds in California. So you have to pay out the retirement benefits before you pay out all the bond holders that have loaned California the money that they use to run all their programs and services." This is CCP's "soft power" invasion. Without firing one shot, America could be destroyed from within. SCOTUS must end Birthright Citizenship, or Congress has to act. Help me get elected to Congress, I will lead to get this done. lilytangwilliams.com/congress/donat…
Lily Tang Williams@Lily4Liberty

2013 NBC exposed China's "birth tourism" scam. Chinese women fly here to give birth, securing US citizenship for their kids. Then fly home to raise them under CCP rules. About 1 million of these “Americans” will be back as voters in a few years.

@Susan_Shelley @NJBeisner Why would you think the amount of fraud from the prebate could be greater than fraud in the existing system? Because the checks go out automatically? Maybe people could invent fake personas to get checks?

@RIP_IRS @NJBeisner The "pre-bate" concept, sending money to everybody based on family size, would cause massive fraud. That's why I don't support it.

@Susan_Shelley @NJBeisner And by the way, to be fair the prebate doesnt go out to everybody. People and families in the country illegally aren't eligible for it. This is one huge benefit of the FAIRTax. It makes living in the US prohibitivly expensive for illegals.

When the federal government subsidizes and regulates any good or service like it does with healthcare—ostensibly for the purpose of making it more affordable—it makes that thing completely unaffordable
Handre@Handre

Americans fly to Turkey for $3,000 dental implants that cost $40,000 in Manhattan. They drive to Tijuana for $800 MRIs priced at $12,000 in San Diego (literally 15 minutes north). Medical tourism revenue hit $100 billion globally in 2023 while US healthcare spending broke $4.5 trillion. The market speaks louder than any policy wonk ever could. When you can get the same cardiac surgery in Bangkok for $15,000 that costs $200,000 in Boston—using the same equipment, often better facilities, and surgeons trained at Johns Hopkins—the pricing isn't reflecting scarcity or quality. It's reflecting capture. Insurance companies created this beautiful racket where they negotiate "discounts" off artificially inflated prices, hospitals play along because the government backstops the whole charade through Medicare reimbursements, and pharmaceutical companies... well, they just price whatever the market will bear (which turns out to be everything you own plus your firstborn). Austrian school economists predicted this decades ago. When you remove price signals and direct payment, costs explode. When Americans rediscover actual market prices by flying to Mumbai for heart surgery, suddenly they remember what healthcare actually costs when providers compete for cash-paying customers instead of...

🚨 THIS WEEK: we are formally referring US Senator John Thune & his campaign Treasurer Nicole Weyers for felony criminal charges - money laundering, identity theft, wire fraud, bank secrecy act, false statements to the feds & more. We found the legal path to step into the shoes of the U.S. Attorney General. We have a live federal lawsuit against the FEC on Thune's campaign committee. Take the #ThuneOut Pledge with me: 🚫 NO votes 🚫 NO donations …to ANY 'Republican' until Thune is removed as Senate Majority Leader. Why? Just one example: while President Trump waits on recess appointments, Thune is running 33-second Senate 'sessions' to BLOCK them. These aren't Republicans - they're saboteurs. "Republicans" have now taken our spending and debt to all time historic highs in nominal dollars since the founding of our nation, as a second example. We now have 8 federal lawsuits against corrupt U.S. Senators. With real resources we'd have 70 lawsuits filed against US Senators- that is how bad it is. The purge starts with Thune. 🇺🇸 ElectionWatch.info and see if your name is being used by the corrupt John Thune for laundering money into his campaign (all are over the age of 65): -go to our website -scroll down to the USA map, click on the desired state -let it load, a list comes up of Smurfs, i.e. victims -click on Show Search, or Smurf Search or Advanced Search (use a laptop or PC) -click on the small green box to the left of any person's name -an interactive chart will come up: red line is the number of contributions that day, green line the corresponding dollar amount -click on anything in green text for more data/info
Peter Bernegger@PeterBernegger

I am not voting for any Republican until @johnthune is removed as Leader of the United States Senate. Take the "Thune Pledge" with me. I will cast a ballot in each election by picking one independent, so my ballot is not stolen. @WisGop @RNC @JudiciaryGOP @GOP Also, I will not donate to any Republican candidate, none, until Thune is removed as Leader of the Senate. No matter if it takes a month or years. Those who say "then Democrats will win". With guys like Thune, there is no difference. Thune and his goons won't pass the save act, but it is much worse. Thune has been blocking President Trump's agenda, blocking Trump's appointments. I will be directly noticing my local GOP chairman, the state GOP and various candidates there will be zero votes, zero money, for any Republican. Peter Bernegger

IRAN WAR DIARY, Day 35 5 weeks. No ceasefire. No off-ramp. Just escalation. Here's where we stand on April 4, 2026: MILITARY Iran shot down a US F-15E Strike Eagle over central Iran. First American aircraft lost over Iranian territory in this war. One crew member rescued, one WSO still missing. An A-10 Warthog also went down near the Strait, pilot rescued. Two Black Hawks took small arms fire during the rescue. US and Israel hit the Pasteur Institute (a century-old medical research center in Tehran), the B1 bridge in Karaj (13 killed, 100+ injured), and steel plants across the country. Iran says a Red Crescent aid warehouse in Bushehr was also struck by drone. Iran fired its largest missile barrage in weeks at Israel. 14 wounded near Tel Aviv including an 11 year old girl. Fire at industrial site in southern Negev. Ben Gurion Airport at reduced capacity. Schools moved online nationwide. Iran's total casualties since Feb 28: 2,076 killed, 26,500 wounded. Over 600 schools and education centers hit. DIPLOMACY (OR LACK OF IT) Iran rejected a US proposal for a 48 hour ceasefire. Their response wasn't written. It was delivered through continued attacks. Trust between both sides sits at "zero" according to Iran's FM Araghchi. Ceasefire talks have reached a dead end. Iran told mediators it won't meet US officials in Islamabad. Iran's demands: reparations, US withdrawal from Middle East bases, guarantees against future attacks. Trump's position: "We will consider when the Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear." Meanwhile, Hegseth fired the Army's top general, Randy George, plus two other senior officers. Mid war. Senator Murphy: "Experienced generals are telling Hegseth his Iran war plans are unworkable." HORMUZ 2,000+ ships stranded. 27 commercial vessels attacked since March 1. 11 seafarers dead. But cracks appearing: a French CMA CGM container ship crossed the Strait (first Western vessel since the war). Three Omani tankers and the first Japanese LNG carrier also made it through. Iran is playing favorites: China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines all granted passage. The US and Israel? Still locked out. UN Security Council vote on Bahrain's proposal to reopen the Strait happening today. Russia and China hold veto power and remain uncommitted. ECONOMICS Brent crude at $112/barrel. The war has cost Arab countries $120 194 billion in GDP in one month (UNDP). Israel's wars since Oct 2023 have cost $112 billion. Australia is running out of diesel. Global food prices up 2.4% in March. Trump just requested a $1.5 trillion defense budget for 2027. $BTC hovering at ~$67K. Still 47% down from its ATH. Every risk asset is hostage to Hormuz. The most dangerous part of this war isn't the missiles. It's that nobody has a plan to end it. #IranWarDiary

@QuantumGuard17 Do we need a 'three strikes' rule for judges? If a judge releases three violent felons who then go on to commit more violent crimes, they have demonstrated their lack of appropriate judicial ability and ought to be removed.
