Exactly. The problem isn’t robots, it’s the gap between simulation and reality. Bringing tools like NVIDIA Omniverse into RobotStudio is a big step toward validating systems before deployment. That shift from trial-and-error to software-driven design is where real competitive advantage will come from. 🤖⚙️

Factories don’t fail because of robots, they fail because simulation lies. You can design the perfect production line on a screen… Then you build it in real life and everything breaks. Timing is off, grippers miss, materials behave differently, weeks of debugging start. That gap between simulation and reality has quietly been one of the biggest bottlenecks in manufacturing. And it’s expensive. Now this is what’s changing. @ABBRobotics is integrating @NVIDIA Omniverse into RobotStudio to push simulations close to real-world accuracy. Meaning: You don’t “test and hope” anymore you validate before anything is built The impact is very real: • up to 80% faster setup • up to 40% lower costs • ~50% faster time to market Foxconn is already piloting this in electronics assembly where precision and speed decide everything I spoke with Klas Kronander who’s building software to make industrial robots easier to deploy and scale across real production environments. Enodo Robotics is a technology partner to ABB Robotics, collaborating on the development of RobotStudio HyperReal. And this is exactly the shift he’s seeing: Robotics is moving from trial-and-error engineering to software-driven production design. The companies that get this right will move faster than everyone else. The ones that don’t will keep debugging reality.

The future of home cleaning just landed in Shenzhen and it is walking right into your living room. 🤖🏠 @XSquareRobot and 58.com officially launched China’s first robot home service, moving embodied AI from the lab to your front door. When you book a cleaning on the 58.com app, a professional cleaner now shows up with an X Square robot partner to tag team the house. The human handles the tricky stuff that needs real judgment while the robot takes over repetitive tasks like wiping tables and tidying up surfaces. X Square is using an end to end foundation model which means the robot actually perceives and plans its own moves instead of just following a script. By testing in the messy reality of a real home, they are proving that if a robot can master a living room, it can handle almost any physical space. This pilot is part of a massive push to turn these machines into reliable partners that can actually assist in our daily lives.

A HUMANOID ROBOT IS LIKE A WHOLE TEAM Midea’s 6-armed industrial humanoid robot, Miro U, is already operational at its washing machine factory in Wuxi: It autonomously performs assembly tasks such as screw picking and fastening. With its 6 arms working in coordination, it is equivalent to three human workers. Miro U is just one member of Midea’s family of humanoid robots. On the consumer front, Midea also offers wheeled home service robots to its vast base of end-users.

50 AI-powered robots deployed by Zalando! 😱 Polish physical AI company just hit the jackpot. 🎰 @Zalando is rolling out up to 50 AI-driven @nomagicAI robots across its European fulfilment network, including a world-first solution for automated shoebox handling. 🇪🇺 The robots, named "Richard," specialize in item-level picking, scanning, and seamless induction into automated pocket sorters. Using Nomagic's AI and computer vision, they recognize materials and shapes to adjust grip in real-time, continuously learning and adapting to shifting inventory. While automation is common in logistics, shoeboxes have historically been one of the most difficult items to automate in fashion logistics. Their loose lids often detach when handled by standard robotic arms. The Shoebox Picker solution combines AI-powered vision with precision custom grippers. Following a successful pilot achieving 100,000 picks per day, Zalando is significantly scaling the partnership. The rollout is underway with deployments in Germany (Lahr, Mönchengladbach, Giessen), Italy (Verona), Netherlands (Rotterdam), Sweden (Stockholm), and France (Paris). This is vision-based manipulation solving real-world logistics problems. Problem solved at 100,000 picks/day scale. 🇪🇺 Thanks for making the CEE region even greater! 🇵🇱 ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

Midea's six armed robot beast is already on the job, but what exactly can it do? 🤖🦾 The MIRO U humanoid is now working at Midea's laundry appliance industrial park in Wuxi. It features six coordinated arms that can lock and fasten six separate screws simultaneously with high precision. Do you think this kind of multi arm coordination will actually boost factory efficiency?
RoboHub🤖@XRoboHub

At the 2025 Greater Bay Area New Economy Forum, Midea Group's CTO Wei Chang officially unveiled "MIRO U," a super humanoid robot that looks absolutely wild. 🤖 Billed as the industry's first six-armed, wheeled-legged humanoid, it's designed to "break through human physiological limits." It starts factory operations this month. Let's see how it performs in the real world!
