I have been saying this for MONTHS. Unfortunately, many Senators care more about their POWER than they do about actually DELIVERING for the American people. I don’t give a rip about “Senate procedure.” Let’s nuke the filibuster, fund DHS, and pass the SAVE America Act.

I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies. But it is profoundly disturbing that a growing segment of the far left appears to be almost rooting for Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and other forces fundamentally opposed to the United States and our allies. This seems to reflects a corrosive strain of anti-Americanism, dressed up in postcolonial theory, that risks blinding us to the moral realities of our world and the nature of our adversaries.

Today, the meteorological office and the desalination facility next to it in my hometown, Bushehr, have been bombed, and the employees there were killed while working. In a water scarce province like Bushehr, the meteorological office is vital for planning the management of water resources and agriculture. I woke up in Tehran this morning to the sound of bombing, and it is still ongoing. That crazy carrot-head says he has announced a five day ceasefire, but it’s only so that Israel can bomb us, and if we respond, they’ll claim we broke the ceasefire, or use it to hit us even harder, just like during the negotiations. Such claims are utterly worthless; we will defend ourselves.
