Party Politics aside, I think any reasonable person will admit that John Steenhuisen was a terrible Agricultural Minister. He didn't listen to the farmers, was arrogant, doubled down on state control and decided to take the advice of his officials over that of actual farmers and people in the industry. The irony being that when he was the leader, he fired Dion George and replaced him with Willie Aucamp. Now Willie Aucamp replaces him.

Peet Viljoen was arrested at O.R. Tambo International Airport on Tuesday evening after arriving in South Africa on a United Airlines flight from Newark, New Jersey. According to reports, Viljoen was deported from the United States after spending about 100 days in detention.
