Them: Your $20-25 price for a comic that cost you tens of thousands of dollars to make is too expensive! Also them: A $35 price for a hardcover novel with little costs associated with creating it.... don't see a problem with it!

🚨Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer.🕷️🕸️ Scorpion and Tarantuala look good and will probably be solid. The Hand and Punisher mean we'll probably see Daredevil. Peter mutating means we'll probably see six-armed Spidey. Mark Ruffalo means I'll probably watch this on cable.

Someone may make the "time is money" argument, as in a novel takes more time to make than a comic, therefore more money cost was involved. This doesn't make sense for indies who Turner was addressing because they also work while creating their art. Nor does it work for an indie like Rippaverse unless they were paying the novel writer per hour which I'd hope they were smart enough NOT to do.

@baturner_vc made a good point, it costs the average indie writer more to make a comic than to make a novel. Then the discussion devolved into CG vs. Rippaverse. 1. If you insist the "market decide" then you can't complain about prices from Rippa or late books from CG since people willingly pay for both. In which case there's no argument to be made at all. 2. If you insist it is morally wrong to not provide paid for books in a timely manner then you also have to reconcile the moral claim of charging more for a book that cost less to make than a comic. 3. If you do not care morally care about either then your opinion is just one of infinite in the void and there was no point in you sharing it to begin with and that logic applies to you but not to one who holds there is a moral quandary invovled.

After seeing a "big" indie comic publisher charging $35 for a prose novel, we are going to see all of the people claiming that crowdfunding books are too expensive raising arms....right? I know how much it costs to create a novel and have novels printed (same goes for a comic), and newsflash (should be obvious) comics are insanely more expensive to create/produce. $25 for an indie comic from a small independent creator sure doesn't look so bad does it? Especially considering the growing costs to make them over the past 5 years
