The funniest part of New York’s socialist wipeout is watching the Democratic establishment finally realize their entire fucking machine is made of wet cardboard and wishful thinking. These arrogant pricks actually believed they still ran shit. They had the incumbents, the donors, the consultants, the caucus protection rackets, the identity lane assignments, the endorsements, and those nice safe blue districts where they could hand out seats like party favors. They really thought the voters were just trained seals who would clap on command while the grown-ups decided whose turn it was. Then the Mamdani-DSA freaks showed up, kicked the goddamn door off the hinges, and beat their asses in their own house. Not in some red county. Not in Trump country. In New York fucking City. Deep blue. Machine territory. The place where Democrats are supposed to control everything. And the whole rotten system just folded like cheap furniture. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus chat went dead silent. Senior Democrats were texting “Holy shit.” Leadership allies were calling it a “huge defeat.” Translation: the peasants stopped following orders and started swinging. For years these establishment fucks treated the radical left like a useful pet. A little street theater. Some useful idiots with bullhorns to keep the base riled up while the donor class kept cashing checks. They thought they could control it. They thought the radicals would stay in their lane and attack Republicans like good little attack dogs. Instead, the attack dogs grew teeth, built their own machine, and started mauling the people who used to own the leash. That’s the real humiliation. The donor class, the consultants, and the professional Democrats didn’t lose to Republicans. They lost to a bunch of loud, economically illiterate activists with DSA buttons and zero respect for the old guard. And now every “safe” Democrat has to sleep with one eye open, wondering if their next primary is actually an election or just an eviction notice from the freaks they spent years empowering.
