Could've been three points ahead of Villa, six points ahead of Liverpool, ten points ahead of Chelsea, six points behind City & twelve points behind Arsenal. Instead? Dragged back into the Champions League dog fight. Still front of the queue, but that doesn't justify tonight. Completely changes Sunday vs Chelsea. Michael Carrick & his team failed a big test tonight. 23 points from 33, but they've set a higher standard under Carrick & weren't anywhere near it vs Leeds. A reminder that Carrick's future shouldn't be decided prematurely, all the work still to do with six games left before the work on the squad can start this summer. One game at a time.

Manchester United finally play football tonight, after what feels like an eternity. Bruno Fernandes, Michael Carrick & co are finally back at Old Trafford. Let this be the last time they have such a long delay between games. I can't do a 24 day break again. Three points vs Leeds & Champions League can be another step closer to returning. A genuinely exciting time to be supporting the club for the first time in too long. There is so much cause for genuine optimism, with plenty of work still to be done. Cannot wait for kickoff, man.

If we are being real Cherki is the Bruno Fernandes replacement in terms of creativity. Only player in league that comes close to Bruno's creativity and vision. Will never happen because he plays for City but Cherki is an incredible footballer. Very jealous.

The drop off on Caicedo this season has been nuts. Are there any top class natural holding midfielders in the Prem? Xhaka has probably been the best defensive midfielder in the league this season.

@AliceTalksFooty Cherki is a better footballer than Bruno Fernandes considering the age. Bruno is a volume trier who loses 10 and gets 1. Cherki breathes caressing the football with perfect weight. Different types of creators but Cherki is definitely better with ball at feet.
