@VCDL_ORG issued an open letter to all Virginia law enforcement officers and officials, advising law enforcement not to take any actions to enforce Universal Background Checks, in direct contravention of a state court order enjoining such enforcement. Enforcing UBCs – when a court has ordered that the statute not be enforced – could cause law enforcement officers to lose their qualified immunity protections, making them personally liable for damages in civil lawsuits.

I know these Republican prosecutors see this as an opportunity for tough guy posturing and amateur constitutional lawyering, but ending the sale of assault weapons in Virginia isn't something an individual prosecutor can do anything about.
Local prosecutors don't enforce, they prosecute - and my message to anyone thinking about breaking Virginia law is, don't bet on Virginia law enforcement ignoring it.

If you have committed a crime, state and federal law enforcement will bring you to justice.

All making clear every single day their loyalty is not to America. We just introduced a long overdue joint resolution proposing a constitutional amendment to require Members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed officers to be natural born citizens. This is the very same standard the President and Vice President are already required to meet. The people writing America's laws, confirming America's judges, and representing America on the world stage should have one loyalty: America. Not any other country. For too long we have allowed foreign born members to hold seats in this government while making clear they are America last, not America first. We see it every day. This constitutional amendment will put an end to it.

In light of the Islamic center shooting today, I think it’s time to make sure Muslims are safe. The best way to ensure their safety is for our DHS Secretary Markwayne Muslim @SenMullin to deport every Muslim in America back to the Middle East where they can live in fully Islamic societies and blast their call to prayer without triggering Amercians into psychosis as a side effect of having their non-Islamic habitats disrupted by invasive species. Let’s make sure Muslims are safe. Send them back to the Middle East where there’s a mosque on every corner.
