@fustanjones @sarge____ It has to do with that the players are just better than the opposition.
English

@fustanjones @sarge____ And u have to scheme that. U can be the least talented team and win if schemed correctly. Basketball proves tha doesn’t matter an while CBB is a bit different because of the one and done format but usually the more talented team wins and it has nothing to do with scheme
English

@fustanjones @sarge____ That’s just not true in football. I guess we’re jus going to agree to disagree and this isn’t a shot at basketball coaches but out of any sport today they have the least amount of impact to me on the game
English

@SamWill_14 @sarge____ The size difference was vast. You basically stated Michigan was more talented.
I am saying Hurley most definelty dictated the speed of the game. That each possesion was controlled. That is coaching.
Football the more physical team generally wins. Defense and run game.
English

@fustanjones @sarge____ I think you are really discrediting th talent of UConn. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter at all but basketball 9 times out of 10 the more talented team wins. Unlike in football where you can really out scheme and out coach an opponent
English

@SamWill_14 @sarge____ The difference in basketball is that you need to have players buy into their roles.
Michigan was more talented and Hurley gave them a chance to be within 4 at half and down 6 with 2 minutes left.
Talent level this would have been a blowout. Coaching mattered.
English

@Section344Lions That’s the biggest thing for him. He is willing to crap on his school and u would never see a guy like Jansen or wojo do that to UofM
English

He’s an MSU grad so he’s always going to dislike the school & make the backhanded joke and jab at U of M. But in terms of actual analysis he’s basically spot on to a T about both regularly. And more than pretty much anyone with their alma mater that’s a diehard fan … he couldn’t have less of an issue shitting on MSU
English

I get how he’ll take jabs at Michigan & makes fun of them for the cheating allegations stuff.
But honestly all things equal I think Mike Valenti is one of the more qualified people to talk MSU/Michigan.
The idea he’s an MSU slappy just isn’t reality. He’s the first in line to shit on Michigan State & has no problem doing it. Can’t say that about 99% of college sports fans with their teams.

Valenti thinks Michigan is the most impressive National Champion in 20 years
English

@fustanjones @sarge____ Basketball has always hasn’t mattered as much for coaching. today’s game at every level shows this. Why UofM won last night was because they are more talented than UConn. Football is a different story because the X’s and O’s tend to be more important
English

@SamWill_14 @sarge____ Hurley is a great in game coach like May and Cignetti. Uconn played Michigan close in large part of how the game plan was designed.
Elite programs could hide coaching. In this era it is constant coaching and adjusting rosters to best meet those goals.
English

@fustanjones @sarge____ More for football because I believe coaching matters there. Coaching hasn’t mattered less in basketball and now if you are an elite evaluator which is what guys like May and Cignetti are that’s how you win
English

@sarge____ Cignetti and May found players in the portal that best suited their team. They are also great in game coaches.
Stacks of cash simply means the players are paid. Many teams spend money and now programs are revenue sharing. It is about how you spend it not how much.
English

@HeleneStJames @freep Sure as hell didn’t seem to care at the moment

Detroit Red Wings Patrick Kane on that penalty in the Minnesota game: "Maybe the worst I felt personally in my career."

@THEEJoeMess @Bidens_idea @Coach_Hickey5 Because one says stuff how he was angry about a freshman was guarding him and secondly people have had an issue with it. Indiana caught plenty of complaints because of the age of the players
English

@SamWill_14 @Bidens_idea @Coach_Hickey5 They're both 23 and both turn 24 this year. Yaxel gets shit for it but not once have we brought up Karabans age (til right now) because WE DON'T GIVE A SHIT.
English

@THEEJoeMess @jakequery Sure man. One of the favorites to win the tourney and 7.5 point favorites in the natty itself surely they were doubted
English

@THEEJoeMess @jakequery I think you are the one braindead. Nobody had them with no chance. They were one of the betting favorites and had dominated all year long
English

@jakequery Lmao last month they had no chance . You mfs are braindead
English

@Bidens_idea @Coach_Hickey5 Dumb fuck, Karaban is older than every player on Michigan
English

@SpartySyndicate @SpartanDawgPC I has today’s landscape of college sports and UofM’s win tonight and Indiana in football prove it is all about the money, portal and evaluation of the talent and that’s something tom just won’t do. Love him but his stubbornness is why we are in this predicament
English

@SamWill_14 @SpartanDawgPC Exactly 🤷♂️. Somebody has to say it. Like an awesome basketball coach. But a bad roster constructor in this day and age now way around it.
English

@TJLang70 It’s the Cignetti approach. Him and May have the money and can evaluate the talent. That’s the skill now
English

@SpartySyndicate @SpartanDawgPC The problem is with our coach. He won’t be willing to go fully into what is needed to win at this level
English

@SpartanDawgPC 1,000 percent. They were exactly who they said they were. Wish my school took the same approach. 🙄
