Instead of any mention of the resurrection, faith, or the actual meaning of the holiday, he posted a generic note about painted eggs and “spending time with family.” In a country with deep Christian roots, the Prime Minister’s Easter greeting was reduced to colourful eggs and brunch vibes. Many Canadians are calling it tone deaf, empty, and completely out of touch. This is the same leader who was quick to highlight other cultural observances like EID and Ramadan, but when it comes to Easter, it’s watered down to the bare minimum.
