@Metrorailinfo is single tracking on the Red Line, so I should jump off and switch to the green to get to work on time, but this train operator (car 3066 if the powers that be are watching) has such a great Don Cornelius voice that I may just stay on...

@capitalweather The weather in DC will *always* revert to the worst possible forecast - the grayest gray, the least warm, the most humid, the least snow, etc. Like Lucy with the football.

A run of above to well-above average temperatures is ahead. Readings could flirt with 80 in parts of the area as soon as Saturday. However, there are indications that the first few days of warmth potential could be spoiled by much cooler air residing to the northeast. The chance of that cool air remaining in our area is heightened if it happens to stay cloudy and/or rain during the day. This is why we’ll continue to run a big range of temperatures for Thursday and Friday until there is more clarity. Both could see 60s or 70-plus southwest of the Potomac River with 50s north and west, especially by northeast Maryland. By Saturday it does seem the warm air will fully punch through. At that point most spots could be well into the 70s or near 80.

What a gorgeous day. I’m so glad I waited until today to run. 3 miles in 60° sunshine & no wind. All the little wildlife footprints around the pond made me smile. I can only imagine what it looks like at night. Enjoy your day 🫶
