They've made him a target of EVERYONE in prison. All the alleged money flooding his commissary and his parents will be extorted from him by gangs of all stripes. The campaigns to raise money on his behalf will soon be run by gang leaders (if not already).

Karmelo Anthony's supporters may think they are helping him, but some of the rhetoric surrounding this case may have done the opposite. They have painted a target on his back. There are a lot of Aryan Brotherhood people in those prisons. They don't care ... and will try and rough him up... or worse. When a criminal case turns into a political movement, emotions run hot, lines get drawn, and the person at the center of it all can end up carrying that burden for years to come. Justice should never be about intimidation, threats, or turning tragedy into tribal warfare. In the end, everyone pays the price when a case becomes a spectacle.

Amen Thompson is a tremendous young player that I hope retires here but the prospect of giving him a max contract this summer, quite frankly, is a little bit terrifying. Right now, not only can he not shoot but he also can’t dribble. I don’t think that last point has really been absorbed by conventional wisdom.
That being said, I do think the Rockets really did him a disservice this season by playing him at point guard and you saw those negative effects on both ends. I also do think his shot—at least off the dribble—will eventually come. I had been noting the soft touch on his floaters (coming out of the right-left euro), but as the season progressed, we saw some middies sprinkled in with surprisingly decent form. All bets are off if that becomes consistent.
An absolutely fascinating player given that his upside is a top 5 player, but so much of his ceiling is theoretical.

The Kon vs Flagg debate tells you a lot about how people evaluate basketball.
Kon's probably the best off-ball rookie scorer I've ever seen, having the best 3pt shooting season of any rookie ever and the best current season from behind the arc.
Cooper's a very good player, but there's nothing he does that is as elite as Kon's off-ball threat. Kon is also a solid defender, a capable playmaker, and requires a much lower usage to impact the game in a way somebody like Cooper Flagg can.
Cooper's ceiling is ridiculous and he's so young, but this is Kon's award to lose.

Sinners was average at best and yes he’s probably going to win the award because he’s black. It’s ok to be realistic that film in general has gone down hill especially over the last 10-15 years. Movies like Oppenheimer are a rarity nowadays making average movies/performances get rewarded more than they should.
