@BraedenSorbo Unless mistaken identity -- the doctor likely didn't appear from out of the blue. Likely the doctor knew him well enough before doing that; lawsuit would be great if wrong. We need more of this not less. We just need safeguards; maybe two doctors on call with the police.

I have not seen anybody talking about what’s going on in Canada right now. This man was pulled over and told by police that he had to come with them because a psychiatrist labeled him “certifiable.” No paperwork, no rule of law, just a doctor saying that if he didn’t come with him right then and there that he would be arrested. The fact that a government could do this is terrifying.

@BraedenSorbo … I don’t see a problem with this. Doctor feels he meets the grounds to be certified. Police acting according to the law. He goes to the hospital for treatment and also has the ability once at the hospital to appeal his certification. This is normal.

No employer wants those. It just signals your using company time to prepare for your other job and do half effort and cancer all the other staff with you “grass is greener” talk. No employer ever asked for 2 week notices. If they wanted them they would give employees 2 weeks notice for termination.
