Some people walk into political conversations to persuade. Others walk in to dominate. Most people can't tell the difference in real time, and they get hurt for it. This account is about seeing it clearly and learning to hold your ground.

Shapiro: J.D. Vance is profoundly and pathetically a weak human being, and he does whatever he thinks his boss wants him to do. We saw a tragic end of life in Minnesota, where children were left without a mom and a spouse was left without her partner. What we need right now is not idiotic gaslighting from the sitting vice president, but a thorough investigation… Vance should be ashamed of himself—and he’s not. And I think that speaks to the weakness of his character.

Libertarians are losers. I had to say it. It's just the truth... I've been wrestling with it for years. I have an admission.... I'm a recovering libertarian. I'm still very much a libertarian in my heart... I like libertarians... we should be nice to libertarians... There are good ones. Great ones, even! Thomas Sowell has even expressed affinity for libertarianism though he never embraced the label. Libertarians have made real contributions to right-wing thought that are worth taking seriously. Rothbards 'Anatomy of the State' in my view, is perhaps their greatest intellectual contribution. But they are losers. Big time losers. The ultimate losers, even. They have no loyalty to people, only to principles. This can be honorable in one sense, and suicidal in another. It's more often the latter. You know it's true, libertarians. How much power do you have? How much power do you and your people have? You're correct on a lot of things. So what? Being correct is not the same as winning. Hayek won a Nobel. The people who hated Hayek won the universities. Mises wrote the books. The people who couldn't beat Mises in argument run the country.... Now what? What good are your principles in a war? Here's how I see the actual hierarchy now: Libertarians are losers. They refuse to play the game. Conservatives are prey. They play, but by rules nobody else respects. Progressives are the apex predators. They've held the slot since FDR. Trump and MAGA are the first counter-energy with predator instincts in ninety years. Full breakdown lands in your inbox today. I'm taking the losertarian problem on head-on, and I won't be holding back. I'm going to be writing all day trying to get this one right. It's important. What you read on Facebook is what I can say in public. What hits the list is what I actually think. ReadSowell.com/join I write to you... every day... no exceptions. stay close, ~ Clay

Ask yourself... what's more likely to get out the Trump vote? Telling his base they're going to win? or... Telling them they're losing? What's interesting is that YOU, Mike, are doing Trump a favor here. His supporters acting like he's already won are the ones hurting him. Strategy dynamics. Fascinating, right?

Buttigieg: In a country that amended its constitution so you could not purchase a beer and then realized it was a bad idea and amended it back, surely we can have an amendment clarifying that a corporation is not a person and money is not speech.

@Rach4Patriarchy It's not conservatives vs liberals, republicans vs democrats, or even capitalists vs socialists. It's predators vs prey. Libs default to predator. Cons default to prey. Cons have to learn to hunt with frames or they're done.

She's a predator... and she's good at it. Watch the move. "Death cult." "Diabolical." "Pedophilia." Stacked, repeated, no evidence. She isn't arguing. She's installing a frame before you have time to think. It works... That's why they keep doing it. Argue her points and you're inside her frame. That's the cage. Predators don't argue inside other predators' frames. They name the move... Then they build their own. This is what hunting looks like. Pay attention.

Jennifer Welch: “MAGA and MAGA Christians are an anti-family, anti-child death cult. Their policies lead to that, their actions lead to that. These are brazen diabolical hypocrites that support child rape, cover up for child rape because MAGA is an anti-family, pro-pedophilia death cult”

@CynicalPublius This is a battlefield advantage, not a debate problem. The right understands the left's frame inside out. The left can't see ours at all. That's predator/prey, not asymmetric debate. We lose with it because we keep treating the battlefield like a marketplace.

The below post is discussing the fact that educated people on the Right are capable of clearly explaining the political and social ideas of people on the Left in a manner that people on the Left will agree with, while the inverse is vanishingly rare. Idiots on the Left claim that this is because their ideas are coherent and sensible, while Rightwing ideas are incoherent and unsensible. This is nonsense, and the reality has to do with our higher education system. Universities are uniformly indoctrination centers for Leftwing thought, so educated conservatives inherently have a deep and thorough understanding of the philosophical underpinnings of modern Leftist belief systems. There is no such reciprocal platform in universities where conservatism is reliably taught, so as a result Leftists are at an extreme disadvantage when debating--they simply have no idea where we conservatives are coming from. This phenomenon is easily witnessed here on X, as erudite conservatives rip down Leftist shibboleths with ease (because we understand them) while Leftists (lacking the academic training in their opponents' beliefs that we possess so deeply) embarrass themselves constantly by arguing against the corrupt strawman interpretations of conservatism they have formed in their own addled, brainwashed minds.
