What should be a 2 minute walk to Campbell Park for people living on the east side of the tracks currently takes 20. And that’s just one example — the Antler-Lappin connection will provide better access to schools, services, and community facilities for everyone in the area.

Went to The Valentine toda sadly couldnt get in. Feels as sterile as an office blg at street level. Too bad no cafeteria/cafe in lobby open to public & park. Should have access to +15 weekends and evenings. IMO @DowntownWestYYC @DowntownCoreCA @downtowncalgary @UCalgary @yycarch

@StoreFrontExp @RM_Transit Ford didn't do the engineering. Ford didn't do the construction. A bunch of highly paid experienced engineers did that, and it was a gong show. You can blame Ford, I'll blame the engineers.

Fuel costs are right at the top of small business concerns. This hits many firms twice as they have to deal with higher business costs and their consumers have fewer dollars to spend at the same time.
@PierrePoilievre’s proposal to pause federal fuel taxes until year end makes great sense and should be adopted by provincial governments too.

Unreal. Nobody between Metrolinx & the City of Toronto even discuss these things. TFC today, also. Jays gone 4 of the next 6 weekends. It makes zero sense.

Congestion pricing, when effective, also prices based on the size of the vehicle. Today, road hogs just get to, well, hog the road. We need some consequences to inform choices when it comes to our precious urban road space.

Driving through a city SHOULD be inconvenient if you're driving at the same time as everyone else. Space is limited, and motor vehicles take up a ton of space. Over time they keep getting bigger. Autobesity is a burden on everyone.

Excellent piece on why Canada is better than the US at public transit.
One thing it misses: There is just a lot more transit in Canada, measured in revenue hours / capita. More buses more frequently. Transit is more useful, so people use it.

Car Brain is what leads people to commit and/or justify antisocial behavior involving a car.
e.g. Pulling into an intersection before there's space to get all the way across. So when the light's red, you're stuck blocking crosswalks, putting vulnerable people in danger.

For every $1 paid by a transit user, society subsidizes $1.50, but for driving, society subsidizes $9.20.

Please support efforts to explore Enforcement even as Regulations are created. No sense having one without the other.
My take - TPS will demand more funding. Until and unless Enforcement becomes de-tasked from TPS, it won't happen.
