@BpsmithUk @gwcollinge Petrol stations have had price hikes. It’s the Oil companies that benefit. Petrol stations buy on a daily or weekly basis so the stock is irrelevant.

@gwcollinge As I said, there is not one litre of petrol currently in, or on the way to, the UK which has been affected *in any way* by the strikes on Iran.
Most UK fuel is refined in India (from *Russian oil*, incidentally, bought at discount) so should be totally unaffected in any case.

Petrol forecourt bosses have been called into the Treasury & warned to stop their #PriceGouging.
There is zero justification for increasing petrol prices, all petrol being delivered was refined weeks ago, well before any strikes on Iran.

@HowardCCox @GMB @NickDixonITV You know there is a difference between Oil companies and petrol stations? Whilst some oil Companies own some petrol stations the majority are owned by independent operators.
Wholesale pricing is not based on purely the Oil price.

Oil fell $10 overnight but I’m Told this garage in T Wells will go up by 2p today. Even without a new bulk delivery. 100 yds up the road, the BP forecourt is 2p cheaper. Go figure!
