Should we re-do our older, poor quality episodes? Or just keep moving forward with new, better-quality content?

@SyrianShabab Indeed. Although it's somewhat understandable, given Syria's history. There used to be a coup or alleged coup attempt once a year for twenty years before Hafez al-Assad's coup in 1970.

The fear of a coup against the Syrian government is totally irrational. It’s not like secularists have tried—or succeeded—in removing “Islamist-leaning” governments in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, or Turkey. No, they would never do that. And leftists would never support those coups.

Any coup attempt against Damascus is going to come from ex-SNA military figures with adequate backing from both foreign and internal interests. Nobody else could even come close to staging one.

What Happened to Syria?
The flag currently used by the new Syrian government became increasingly used by anti-Assad protestors as the government's abuses and crimes against humanity made it clear that reform from within was impossible. The regime needed to be overthrown.

On this day in 2011, called "The Great Friday," by organizers, major protests were held in Damascus for the first time since the start of the Syrian Revolution. Protests were seen throughout the entire country, with especially large turnout in Daraa, Baniyas, Qamishli...

15 years ago in Syria was the Great Friday, which became the deadliest day of protests since the revolution started in March 2011. More than 100 people were killed by security forces across the country, a major escalation.

I remember when Bana and her mother used to document their life under siege by Assad and Russia in Aleppo. Now Assad is gone and she is at the UN!

I carry with me the voice of a generation that grew up among the rubble, yet chose to rise, build bridges, and raise the name of our homeland #Syria on every international stage. My presence here is more than attendance, it is proof that youth are not only victims of conflict. We are leaders of recovery. We are builders of peace. We are partners in shaping the future. Honored to be invited participate in the @UNECOSOC and participate in the Youth Forum at the @UN , @UNYouthAffairs representing the resilience, hope, and determination of young people who turn pain into purpose. Our voices matter, and our future is ours to shape. #ECOSOCYouth
