Insecurity is extremely high among hitting coaches and I’m not sure why. If you help a hitter be better, someone else comes along and does the same thing, shouldn’t we just be happy the hitter is hitting? Or is it only okay if he’s hitting well because of what you taught him?

It would not be difficult at all to return to his own style. He simply had to return to his old form. Sounds simple yet most hitters who are always great like Manny probably never understood what made him great.

Yesterday i learned from multiple reliable source that the Red Sox offensive staff, both in the majors and minors, take a “one size fits all” approach with a large majority of the hitters they deal with, instead of working individually with the players.. and that seems wrong
