This is a huge win for Europe. It matters if the following becomes possible: • Standardization at scale: EU-INC becomes the de facto legal structure for European startups, standardizing incorporation and contracts across the continent—drastically reducing cost to incorpotation with scale • Fast funding instruments: This enables SAFE-like instruments in Europe with scale. With SAFE, you receive funding in 3 days. With current French equivalents, it takes 3 months • Stock option reform: We need standardized stock options taxed at liquidity events across all countries, with 409A-style discounts for common stock. Today, fragmented stock option rules create serious risks for remote European start ups. This one is not clear given that tax is by country.

I do SEO for personal injury lawyers. I get their phones ringing 50 times a month. Then I find out they arent picking up. Called 4 of my PI clients one morning. All of them were open. Not a single office answered the phone. This happens constantly. Business owners will pay thousands for marketing. They will obsess over rankings. They will check their Google Business Profile stats every single day. Then someone actually calls and it goes to voicemail. The person searching for your service on Google is ready to buy right now. They are not browsing. They are not comparison shopping for fun. They need a roofer today. They need a plumber today. They need a lawyer today. If you dont answer they are calling the next guy on the list. Takes them 3 seconds. Speed to lead is everything. I have clients who respond to form fills within 60 seconds. Text automations. AI answering services. Instant quotes. These guys close at 2x the rate of everyone else. Then I have clients who manually reach out a few days later and wonder why their close rate is trash. You could have the best SEO guy in the world. You could rank number 1 for every keyword in your city. If you do not answer your damn phone it is meaningless.

I’ve got a table at 7. Want to join? Bring 1 smart friend” Suddenly you’ve got 5 killers at one table, without running around all day

Everyone on this app says Miami is the future. But behind closed doors? A few weeks ago I told an a16z partner we might found our new startup in Miami. His response? "Don't. Nobody will invest in you if you do that."
