- Reds about to lose seven straight division games, three straight walkoffs
- Rhett Lowder and Emilio Pagan both leave games with injuries
- Multiple baserunning and fielding issues
- Hitting has fallen off a cliff
Please let us never speak of this road trip again

This is a road trip from hell

@Soly_Reds Season effectively ended this week and you won't convince me otherwise.
English

Oh no. Training staff out to look at Rhett Lowder and he’s leaving the game…
Reds Daily@RedsDaily4
4 walks through 3+ innings for Rhett Lowder. I don’t get it.
English

@CBoxSports Gotta be the first time ML history that a team who was 9 games above .500 and in first place was dead last in their division a week later.
English

@OBG78 @CBoxSports They have a pretty ironclad case for worst professional sports franchise this century.
English

@CBoxSports Miserable being a fan. They have to be the worst pro franchsie of all major sports the last 30 years.
English

@ryanhammer09 Pacers will be back next year to end their season, so yes.
English

@Schultz975 These playoffs have been a constant reminder how much I miss the Pacers’ offense.
English

@bryce_spalding They were 20-11 and a week later I’m approaching full blown apathy. Only the Reds.
English

This isn’t a singular person issue either. There ain’t many, people playing winning baseball on the Reds side right now, period.
As ugly a stretch of Reds baseball I’ve watched in a long while and that’s saying a lot. Staring down losing 7 of 8 games and combined score currently stands in those 8 games (56 to 24).
English

@RedsDaily4 You couldn't script more horrific contracts than their last three at 3B (I'm not including Geno because he was signed largely as a DH. Moose, Candy, Hayes is the stuff of absolute nightmares and when you're a small market team, you simply cannot miss like this.
English

If we showed anyone these numbers alongside a .404 OPS, nobody would say this player deserves to be in the lineup every day. Nobody.
I do think the defense will improve over time and the OAA will look better by the end of the season, but right now, there’s simply no justification for the everyday playing time on a team that struggles so much offensively.
I didn’t love the trade when it happened, but like a lot of fans, I talked myself into it. I wanted it to work.
Now?
This has a real chance to go down as one of the worst trades in franchise history.

English

@RedsInFour Turns out the completely unsustainable start was indeed unsustainable.
English

@bryce_spalding @joel_wisecup We have a 35 game sample of him being awful. There’s just too many holes right now. They needed McLain and Stephenson to at least be average hitters, they’ve both been atrocious. Offense is completely reliant on the long ball because this lineup can’t string hits together.
English

@joel_wisecup @TheHerrm He had a 130 wRC+ the last like 14 games coming into tonight.
