Ah yes, a difference in culture.
When French speaking nobles from England fought French speaking nobles from France for 100 years, they clearly did so because of a difference in culture yes yes.
When Germany was engulfed in 200 years of religious wars where Swabian dialect speaking Catholic troops from Augsburg were fighting Swabian dialect speaking protestant troops from Stuttgart - clearly because of a difference in culture.
Sweden and Denmark fought more than any other countries in history. I'm sure it was because their culture was so different, right?
No, we mainly fought each other over glory, power, influence and having different opinions on what's right and wrong.

The strange thing about the future is that most people imagine it as a better version of the present.
Same jobs, better tools.
Same schools, better screens.
Same politics, better speeches.
Same lives, just with robots in the background.
But real technological revolutions don’t upgrade the old world.
They quietly make parts of it absurd.
A farmer from 1820 would not look at an office job and think “nice productivity boost.”
He would think society had invented a strange ritual where adults sit in glowing boxes all day, moving symbols around to earn permission to eat.
Now imagine someone from 2100 looking back at us.
Maybe they won’t understand why survival was tied to employment.
Why intelligence was scarce.
Why medicine mostly waited until bodies broke.
Why billions of people spent their best hours doing tasks machines were already learning to do.
The future might not feel like sci fi.
It might feel like waking up and realizing half of what we called “normal life” was just a temporary coping mechanism.

Which is cute but meaningless, because when it comes to our actual nations as they exist today, the American constitution (1789) is older than **EVERY SINGLE EU NATION’S CONSTITUTION**
You have buildings older than our country? We have *people* older than your country. Hell, I’m older than a third of the EU.
Oh, your ancestors were insanely based and built the open-air museum you live in today? Congrats. Your constitution is like 5 minutes old and you are probably going to be communist or live under Sharia law in another 5 minutes unless you reawaken your ancestral based-ness and take your countries back from the woke scolds and would-be totalitarians.
Eastern Europe seems to be doing pretty well in that regard, since they just got rid of the totalitarians within my lifetime, are unlikely to revert to communism, and have zero tolerance for woke propaganda. But Western Europe… oof… you must wake up.
