A woman rescued a dog from the River Trent after someone apparently tied a heavy rock to her leash and threw her in. Police said the Belgian Shepherd, named Bella, was still ill but improving under veterinary care. Two people were arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty, and the investigation is ongoing.
