Edmonton should be proud of its achievements as we step into a new era of BRT—hopefully without creating headaches with its dedicated lanes. Looking forward to the expansion plans for the Metro Line and Valley Line West expansion.

As this is a new line, a new type of light rail (low floor), and a new process, we’ve learned key points and elements that caused minor headaches and can move forward with those in mind. We are yet to see progress on Edmonton’s Capital Line expansion!

Edmonton's P3 contract with TransEd Partners, who built, maintain and operate the Valley Line Southeast, is a great example. Taking a look at similarly designed lines such as Lines 5 and 6 in Toronto shows Edmonton leading in terms of construction.

@ctvedmonton Why is this city pushing away what it needs the most? Stupid Janz wants to charge for parking at the zoo when it’s already struggling with low attendance—not to mention having to pay for parking at a publicly funded rec centre that also requires a membership to access.

@kevinru99857767 @AndrewKnack @CityofEdmonton The city doesn’t know it would be its operator TransEd Partners, I don’t think it’s TransEd’s fault really, the city is the one who wanted a low floor streetcar and this is the consequences of it. TransEd did an amazing job in the previous years dealing with it in winter.

Instead of driving around to try and find our City crews, you can see them using the @CityofEdmonton’s online map. They are working 24/7 every single day.
