It's day 22 with no recordable rainfall. Longest dry spell was July 2018 with 25 days. Very likely this record will fall . I don't think the Met Office has a set definition for drought in terms of number of days but say below average rainfall. Well either way it's bone dry.

@CarlBovisNature @WWTSteart Please don't tarnish all dog owners. There are a large number of us who train our dogs properly & respect wildlife and livestock. It would be great if you could promote the work @Jamiepenrith2 does and join ARDO (association of responsible dog owners).

This is the kind of attitude you often get when politely informing dog owners that their dogs should be kept on a lead on nature reserves.. This was last night at @WWTSteart, where there are signs at every entrance asking people to keep dogs on leads as it's a wildlife sensitive area. (I've cropped the video to not show their faces, my intention is to show the general attitude of some dog owners who do not respect nature reserve rules, of which there are many unfortunately.. 😕)
