We now have THREE straight days of Enhanced Risks (Level 3/5) for severe weather starting today in the Plains. Then tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday will feature back to back severe weather chances in parts of the midwest.

1/ An update for Thursday, it's not particularly shocking that SPC upgraded the risk to enhanced. A pretty potent surface low with robust LLJ of 50+ kts across an unstable warm sector. Strong tornadoes are certainly on the table, along with damaging winds as storms grow upscale.

Many of my thoughts from yesterday's discussion remain on track for today. The surface warm front seems a bit slow to move northward as of now, but this front should be the preferred location for an increased tornado threat later today in OK. #okwx
