Farmers in Hama & Homs are leading their own recovery 🌱 @UKforSyria & @FAO visited climate-smart farming, restored irrigation to 7 500 ha lands & Farmer Field Schools transforming food production. With UK aid, 1.2M+ #Syrians are becoming self-reliant producers.

Supporting agriculture means supporting long‑term economic stability and development in Syria.🌱🤝🌍 #UKaid and @FAOSyria are working to restore and convert 50,000 hectares of land into fertile, productive farmland over the next three years - an area equal to one‑third of Greater London.

The UK is supporting efforts to revitalise agriculture in Syria, alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and @FAOSyria, as a cornerstone of a Syria-led recovery. Strong food systems mean jobs, livelihoods and long-term stability for communities across the country. #SyriaRecovery

Glad to be with colleagues in Saudi Arabia to represent 🇬🇧 in talks about North East Syria and continuing the battle against Da’esh.

The UK welcomes the agreement between the Syrian Government and the SDF to integrate military and civilian institutions. This is a critical step towards a stable and unified Syria. We will continue working with partners to support Syria, including providing life-saving aid.

Together, the UK, France, Germany and the US welcome the extension of the ceasefire in Syria, and urge all parties to protect civilians, enable humanitarian access, resume peaceful negotiations, and maintain our collective focus on the fight against Daesh.

Grateful for the opportunity to meet His Holiness Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of the Orthodox Church in Damascus. We discussed the importance of co-existence, social cohesion and inclusion in Syria.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Syrian government at the Aleppo and Damascus levels, a convoy of 24 trucks carrying essential food, relief items, and diesel from the @UNinSyria and NGOs departed Aleppo for Ayn al- Arab (Kobani) in northern Syria approximately one hour ago to deliver life-saving and winter assistance to civilians affected by the hostilities.
