Why do you think Virginia and California held statewide referenda to get voters' permission before passing counter-gerrymanders in their states, but Republican-controlled legislatures in Texas, Missouri and North Carolina did not?

Again, if Republicans want to stop partisan gerrymandering they should vote for Democrats’ proposal for a national ban on partisan gerrymandering.

@rolandsmartin @coachbrucepearl Important context, Dems gerrymandered NC to get the 7-7 split, and Dem courts violated the NC constitution to steal the power away from Legislature. @NCGOP created competitive districts, that were rejected by Dems. Therefore, the new NC map is a consequence for those actions.

President Trump won 46% of the Vote in the State of Virginia. Before this vote there were 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans representing the people in the house. To "restore fairness" the Dems will now carry the state 10-1. This is certainly a victory for democrats but how is it fair

@ForwardCarolina NC Dems judges rejected competitive maps and hijacked them to create a Dem gerrymander, in violation of the NC constitution. They were quickly voted out.
This map serves as a consequence of that egregious behavior.
