Two years since the Mumbai Coastal Road first opened to traffic, its usage has surged dramatically. What began with an average of 8,700 vehicles a day in its first month — amid restrictions like weekend closures and limited hours — has now grown into approx 63,000 vehicles daily. I looked at vehicular data over the past two years & found the biggest jump came in post Aug 2025 when the road became operational 24 X 7.
