I’ve been in Congress through divided governments, bitter fights, and historic crises. I’ve never seen anything like the last 24 hours. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson killed Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s bipartisan deal to fund the TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA.  It was a deal that had the support of Senate Republicans and Democrats alike, 100-0! Why? Because Johnson places his own political survival and fealty to Trump over all else, including long waits at airports or anything else. We could have passed it in the House easily if only Johnson had allowed the vote to proceed. But instead he blew up the whole thing. Where this goes next is anyone’s guess, but what’s very clear is that Johnson is the worst and most subservient speaker in modern American history.

This is absolutely infuriating and completely idiotic. An estimated 95,000 scientists and researchers have left federal agencies since Trump returned to the White House. These are the people tracking hurricanes, studying pediatric cancer, and modeling the climate tipping points that determine whether we can still prevent catastrophe. We lost them because this administration defunded their work, shuttered their offices, and made clear that finding out the truth is no longer a government priority. NASA’s own administrator just said studying climate change isn’t part of NASA’s mission. The agency that first warned Congress about global warming in 1988 now treats that work as a distraction. Meanwhile, China and Europe are recruiting our scientists, funding their labs, and making long-term bets on the industries of the future while we gut the research infrastructure that took generations to build. President Trump’s kids alone have made a billion dollars since he became president. We are going to grapple with the unbelievable corruption coming out of this Administration.

This is why Republicans are trying so hard to suppress the vote through their pathetic SAVE act. Maybe next time, do a better job running the country so most of the country doesn’t end up hating you.

Doctors stunned: Advanced liver cancer (worst prognosis) completely vanishes in two patients using only THC/CBD oil drops! Two elderly patients (one 82 years old, one 77 years old) had very advanced liver cancer with a lot of tumors. Doctors had basically run out of treatment options for them. @marclanders No one should take this as anything but luck. Steve Jobs tried alternative treatments for liver cancer and it didn't end well. OTOH, THC/CBD seems a can't hurt, might help adjunct to medically approved treatments.

@BasedMikeLee The Senate did it's job: Produced a reasonable compromise to fix a crisis. The House failed epically and is expending tremendous energy to blame the guys that did their jobs. House FAILS. Fire the reps responsible.

The Senate fails when it (1) creates a crisis, (2) immediately takes a ten-day break, (3) returns to work for a few weeks, (4) fails to resolve the crisis again, and then (5) takes another two-week break without resolving the crisis it created
