@pradeeepk Google probably makes this research public at least partly because breakthroughs like this depend on openness. Without publishing their work, many top researchers would likely work elsewhere where they can share their findings, reducing Google’s ability to innovate. 🙃

I used Claude Computer Use/Dispatch yesterday. My feeling:
It’s too damn slow!
Posting a tweet takes me ~5 seconds (once I have the content). Claude took 70 seconds.
Why? It controls the screen via a loop: take a screenshot → send to a huge remote multimodal model (opus 4.6) → decide actions (click, type, scroll) → take another screenshot → repeat.
We’re basically forcing a large general model to operate a human UI.
Two things will happen in my opinion:
1. It is using a massive model (Opus 4.6) just to understand screens. That won’t last. Smaller, specialized models and eventually local models will handle most of this.
2. GUIs were built for humans. Almost all software will expose APIs/CLI for agents, so most actions won’t need to “use a computer” at all.

I thought this would be helpful for illustration purposes. The basic footprint of the just announced Tesla/SpaceX/XAI Terafab at Giga Texas looks to be about 2 million Sq Ft, but not sure the number of floors or total Sq Ft available for production.

My son, Saxon, is so based that he would just order milk when we went to dinner in LA. This would always stun the waitstaff, as they had never heard anyone actually order milk!
He also unironically ordered a cheeseburger at a very uptight sushi restaurant that doesn’t even allow you to order supplemental soy sauce. When the waiter recovered from this request to reply that they don’t have cheeseburgers, Saxon said “Fine, I will have a hamburger.”

The new heavily reinforced roof has been installed on top of Pad 1's Integration Tower.
This appears to be intended to allow for a minor amount of exhaust impingement on the roof.
Do yal think this is more likely to be necessary for Superheavy or the Ship?
