@JaredWeissNBA This is the textbook definition of a landing spot flagrant. Brunson was called for a less egregious one earlier in the season. Wembanyama avoids it. If he had been called for one, he would have incurred an automatic suspension for Game 6 (if necessary).

@JaredWeissNBA Good no call. Brunson’s feet kick out and that’s why he lands on Wemby. Wemby gave him space to land straight down. He doesn’t have to give him space a foot in front of that real landing space also.

@TylerRobertKey It’s stupid since they implemented it. Was pissed when Leonard got injured in 2017 . The guy who did it was a serial dirty player who did that often. Gotta be a tech but flagrant is just dumb. Even worse when guys spread their legs in weird positions to get that call

This wasn't called as a foul against Victor Wembanyama in real time, so the same dance ensues if San Antonio wins this Game 5 as seen after Game 3. The play will be reviewed by the league office. A retroactive flagrant foul for Wemby would mean a one-game suspension for Game 6.
