Ms. Maur is vice president of the German Federal Chamber of Psychotherapists, president of the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Psychotherapists, and a practicing child and adolescent psychotherapist. She also played a key role in developing the controversial and non-evidence-based guidelines for treating minors with so-called gender incongruence. What am I being accused of? At the end of January, as part of a thread on the planned EU ban on conversion therapy, I shared a video that had been published on this platform since September 2025 and commented on it critically from a political perspective. In it, Ms. Maur explains to other therapists how to issue a letter of indication for gender-affirming surgery if a child or adolescent declares a so-called “non-binary gender identity.” The Federal Social Court has clarified in a ruling that health insurance companies do not have to finance procedures (e.g., mastectomies of healthy breasts) for “nonbinary” individuals. Therefore, they refuse to do so in this case. This gives the impression that Ms. Maur is attempting to circumvent the health insurance companies' refusal by following the procedure described in the video. Ms. Maur sent me a warning letter because of my tweet about her and my retweet of the video. I was not prepared to sign the warning letter because I believe it is important that these events are made public. WELT also recently reported on Ms. Maur's statements. WELT has also been threatened with legal action for its reporting. My lawyer's strategy is explained in more detail in the appeal for donations by Frauenheldinnen. I will not be silenced this time either and will fight to ensure that trans medicine and its consequences continue to be critically discussed in public. This is only possible with your support.
