@LFCLaurie But in all seriousness, FIFA expanding the tournament purely for revenue is repulsive...
BUT...if you think of the group stage as a sort of final qualification and seeding round for a 32 team single knockout tournament, its a little easier to swallow

I know it’s very early signs but I think this game already shows the flaws with extending the tournament to 48 teams.
The gulf in quality here is huge. We’re just gonna have to watch Haiti, Cape Verde and Jordan get walloped 7-0 on repeat. 32 teams was perfect.

Where exactly is Bernardo Silva supposed to play at Real Madrid?
Because between Bellingham, Arda, Valverde, Mastantuono, Vinícius, Mbappé and Endrick, I’m struggling to see the problem this signing is actually solving.

Mbappé isn’t good as a No. 10, he isn’t good on the left wing, he isn’t good on the right wing anymore, and he doesn’t have the striker IQ to play as a proper No. 9.
He can’t dribble like he used to, his pace has declined, and worst of all, he seems to need 20+ shots to score one goal.
Is it fair to say he’s washed beyond recovery?
