Just for some context here, that $3,284 mark is the third lowest revenue line in the COUNTRY, only ahead of Cal State Fullerton and Kennesaw State. Central Arkansas, for example, reported over $300K in tennis revenue. that being said... (1/2)

@CieloGrande @SALES_720 @MattBrownEP But yes, if another sport goes, it’s likely a sport where there are both men’s and women’s version. golf is the east pick. However, I don’t think Tyson lets that happen, plus women’s gold is extremely tied into the LPGA event here, whereas tennis really didn’t have community ties

Also MLF not doing a weigh-in should be the standard, its 2026, zero need to drag fish around in livewells especially during the spawn.

@ArkansasQuant @WesleySowell Agreed. And get creative and stop being reactive. I know that before the NIL and rev share era there was momentum to host a UFC event at Bud Walton but the university ended up saying no. Wonder if their tone has changed now.

Oak View Group Partnership: Better late than never. A single sold-out concert at DWRRS can net the department $3M-$4M in profit through concessions and facility fees. Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen are two artists this year doing SEC stadium tours. We need to address why we continually are late to the game on everything for the last decade, but nevertheless an improvement if the money is invested productively. #WPS #Razorbacks

@ArkansasQuant Bud Walton sits empty pretty much all of March through October. Imagine a tradition of a concert on Friday night at Bud Walton before home football games. Would create a true multi day revenue stream

No idea. DWRRS is a monopoly for the area, so will have more negotiation leverage than a 65k stadium in DFW since there’s 5-6 in a 2hr drive of DFW. Expand to HTX, ATX, and San Antonio and the event group has significant leverage. I’m not familiar with Tulsa or Springfield, but pretty sure KC Chiefs, Ok State Football Field, and OU Sooners football field are the only stadiums within 4 hours that are close in size. And there will be people who wouldn’t go to an opposing college’s stadium. Now, whether our department can negotiate or not is a different story.
