Pam Bondi was sworn into office as Attorney General on February 5, 2025, and on her first day on the job, just hours after being sworn in, she released the memo below essentially disbanding FARA enforcement at the DOJ.
I’m not sure what her reasoning was, but this is having a negative effect on our country now that foreign influence operations in the media and on social media are running wild with no transparency or oversight.
Since Bondi’s memo was released her first day on the job, FARA indictments have fallen off a cliff. The DOJ won’t even investigate criminal FARA violations unless they are conducted by a foreign government’s spies.
As a former lobbyist who herself had to register with FARA when she was a lobbyist for Qatar, Attorney General Pam Bondi knows first hand why FARA is so important and how important it is for FARA to be enforced. Cracking down on unregistered foreign lobbying should be a priority for the DOJ, but this memo is preventing that from happening.
Now, ahead of the 2026 midterms, we are watching the destructive force of unregistered foreign lobbying ignite a civil war in the GOP and we are watching foreign funded podcasters spew nonstop lies about the Trump administration with amplification from foreign state owned media entities that are hostile to the United States.
Many cities in our country are being invaded by Islamic immigrants who don’t share our values, and yet members of Congress (with the exception of the Sharia Free America Caucus) and the media completely ignore this Islamic invasion because they’re flooded with Qatari cash to turn a blind eye.
Bondi should immediately revise her February 2025 memo to prioritize FARA prosecutions. Average Americans can’t compete with the enormous amounts of Qatari, Iranian, Chinese and Russian cash that is flowing into the US political system to undermine US policy and real American values.
AG @PamBondi, for the sake of US National Security, please revise your 2025 memo and return to allocating DOJ resources for FARA enforcement.
