@ZaFabs92 @Shadalac2 @GlobalBoxOffice What I mean by appeasing investors is by doing things that "contradict" their standard operation or condition. Like firing employees when their financial reports shows growth, etc. Not lowering their price is just their sop.

NINTENDO is reportedly circulating false information internally as a deliberate strategy to identify leakers. These may affect some news we heard this past days, including: • Luigi’s Mansion movie and new game • New classic-style Star Fox game on Switch 2 • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake • Next 3D Mario delayed until 2027 Source: @NintyPrime

@Shadalac2 @GlobalBoxOffice how? To their fans, Nintendo always emphasize that correct information is from them, not from leak. As for investors, I dont remember Nintendo doing things like what western companies do, to appease investors.

Actually, the failure of Gen Z/Alpha players to handle Misty on Charmander runs is proof that Americans are getting dumber and lazier. Misty never was an issue when we played the original Pokémon Red/Blue as children. There are so many solutions to this, eg: - Find an Oddish/Bellsprout north of the town - Spam Sand Attack and status moves to render the Starmie unusable (Misty cannot switch to counter this) - Brute force overleveling (the least satisfying choice) I guess there are disadvantages to using AI to cheat on all your assignments.

You know what? NO. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a 29 year old college graduate and still lost to Misty twice in Pokemon Firered. It could happen to anyone

🎮 What better way to start off the new year than with my Top 10 Games of 2025! 🎮 1. Dispatch 2. Ghost of Yōtei 3. Sword of the Sea 4. Cronos: The New Dawn 5. Death Stranding 2 6. DOOM: The Dark Ages 7. Silent Hill F 8. Avowed 9. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance 10. South of Midnight Every year is great when it comes to games and I had such an amazing time playing dozens this year. More detailed thoughts below 👇 Dispatch What an incredible game from start to finish. It might feel a bit strange, given a lack of what one might call traditional 'gameplay'. But the overall experience - the character performances, art design, storytelling, writing, fantastic comedy and dispatching gameplay were so thrilling and addictively fun for me that it couldn't have been any other choice. I loved every second of my time in this world and with its cast that I immediately went back for another playthrough, which is something I rarely ever do. I can't wait for (hopefully) another season. Ghost of Yōtei As a huge fan of Ghost of Tsushima, I knew I'd enjoy Yotei but I loved it even more than I expected. Atsu became a standout protagonist for me thanks to her layered personality and tragic, heartfelt connection with her family. The world of Ezo was a joy to explore with unique bounties, memorable side characters, and cleverly meaningful activities that all felt worth doing — dense, dynamic, and never coming across as a simple checklist. Combat was a huge highlight, evolving Tsushima’s foundation with multiple weapons, on-the-fly enemy changes, and endlessly fun moments like spearing baddies from 30 feet away with dropped weapons. It was also easily one of the most gorgeous games this year with stunning visuals, smooth performance and an amazing East-meets-West soundtrack. Sword of the Sea This was one of those games that genuinely had me go "Damn I love video games" out loud while playing. The sheer joy I had across my face across the handful of hours playing through it was immense. Visuals are jaw dropping, especially on an OLED with such intuitively smooth controls that made surfing across the desert and bodies of water an afterthought in the best way possible. The soundtrack was so beautiful in a way only Austin Wintory can deliver. This is up there right next to Journey as something I won't forget any time soon. Love the Giant Squid team. Cronos: The New Dawn I've been so hungry for another Dead Space that Cronos immediately caught my attention when it was first announced. After finishing it recently I can say that while it wasn't quite enough to reach that bar, it still hooked me. The audiovisuals were excellent with hauntingly beautiful versions of old Poland brought to life through incredible lighting, atmosphere, and sound design that constantly kept me tense and on edge. Combat took some getting used to but felt heavy, punchy, and tactical with meaningful upgrades. The 'oomph' of those charged up shots never got old. While the story took a little bit to really get going, I was enamored by the overarching plotline by the end and I hope there's more to come from this universe. Death Stranding 2 I initially put off playing the original Death Stranding as its pre-release marketing never really grabbed me in the same way that Kojima's previous franchise Metal Gear Solid did. But I'm glad I gave it a chance after because I adored it, and this sequel managed to top it. The pacing felt dramatically improved from the start, the world was far livelier and more rewarding to explore, and trekking across Mexico and Australia through deserts, forests, riverbeds, and snowy mountains was a thrill with constant surprises. The visuals and performance were jaw-dropping, the music hit at just the right moments, and the character performances were phenomenal, even when the writing went gloriously off the rails. Combat and stealth felt more flexible and MGSV-inspired, with better systems, smarter menus, fun weapons, and tons of freedom in how I approached encounters, while the boss fights were absolutely insane and left me wanting more. It's not a series for everyone but I had a great time. DOOM: The Dark Ages As someone who played and loved Doom 2016 and Eternal, this was undoubtedly going to make my list this year. I really like id Software changing it up with each entry too. I loved the shift toward heavier movement and the focus on blocking and parrying over nonstop parkour. The combat completely hooked me with good weapon variety and smart enemy-specific strategies that kept every fight feeling fresh and frantic. The new shield is a game-changer imo — parrying shots, cleaving through demons, and launching myself into brutal shield bashes never got old. Level design struck a great balance between classic tight arenas and wide, open spaces. Add in a thunderously good soundtrack (not quite Mick Gordon tier), stunning visuals with silky-smooth performance, fun lore expansions, and over-the-top dragon and mech sections that delivered some pure power fantasy - it all made for a glorious experience. Silent Hill F Neobards’ take on the Silent Hill formula impressed me. The game’s vision of 1960s rural Japan was stunning, from the winding streets of Ebisugaoka to the haunting Dark Shrine otherworld and filled with incredible lighting, great materials work, and atmosphere that constantly made me stop to soak everything in. Audio design and soundtrack were a treat - chilling and perfectly blending Japanese elements into something deeply unsettling, while the story hit harder than expected with some heavy themes, strong performances, and an ending that caught me off guard. The melee-focused combat could feel a little clunky, but also 'crunchy' and tactical once I got into a rhythm, especially with the Focus and Stamina systems adding a tense back-and-forth dance to it all. Had a good time! Avowed Despite a few rough edges, I had a damn good time with this one. Obsidian packed the world with secrets, side quests, and lore in large open zones that tickled my curiosity rather than checklist-driven exploration, all backed by an awesome Elder Scrolls–style soundtrack along the way. I found the visuals to be stunning and loved the art direction (some races looked a goofy). Writing/dialogue was sharp, conversations were deep and plentiful, and while the companion roster was small, Kai was a standout (chumming around with Garrus in a fantasy land? Hell yes). Combat genuinely surprised me with how brutal and satisfying it felt, and the flexible build options — from sword-and-board to pistols, magic, and dual-wield allowed me to switch things up whenever I felt like it. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance It's probably no surprise I'm a Shinobi fan, having gotten my start with the series way back on the Game Gear, so I was so damn happy to see SEGA finally bring this classic back and damn did Lizardcube nail it. Right off the bat I found the art style to be absolutely stunning with gorgeous hand-drawn visuals combined with super fluid animations, and I can't praise the soundtrack enough. Combat was deep with tons of moves to learn and master, satisfying combos, and an overall feel that interestingly came across as both fresh and faithful to the series' roots. Level design was also a treat as I was expecting something more straightforward of an action game but instead got something more Metroidvania-esque. There were some uneven difficulty spikes at times and the world could feel slight disjointed but I loved my with it overall. South of Midnight I had no expectations going into South of Midnight and came away so pleasantly surprised that I had to include it here. Compulsion did an incredible job creating a wonderfully charming world full of endearing, larger than life characters. The writing was strong and witty, and Hazel was one of the most fun lead characters I've had to pleasure of playing as in a good while. I also really loved the story that was crafted here that hit me harder than I expected. The combat was fairly standard action fare that didn't evolve too much over the course of the game, but it was compelling enough to keep me going and didn't detract from how great everything else was. The soundtrack was probably one of the best I've heard in any game in a while and delight for the ears. #PS5 #Xbox #GameoftheYear #Top10Games #Dispatch #GhostofYotei #DeathStranding2 #SilentHillF

@greg16676935420 Someone told me they have their phone on military time because it’s easier for them to understand. The reason I hate that response is because 21:50 o’clock having to be translated to 9:50pm is objectively worse for everyone involved including the military

Investors were worried Nintendo’s appeal to the younger generation could lead to market share decline for PlayStation. Hermen Hulst says Astro Bot and anime will help them appeal more to a younger audience! “Anime in particular is appealing to key younger audiences, so that’s going to be very helpful for us.” pushsquare.com/news/2025/06/s…

@Okami13_ Nah dawg. Infinite wealth did it way better than E33. In order to survive, you HAVE to dodge or parry your enemies moves. Infinite wealth balanced the real time strategy so you actually have tactical options on demand.

Ok ok, perhaps EVERY turn based game shouldn't do it but I do want to see realtime mechanics used more. Infinite Wealth did it last year, and now Expedition 33. Variety is good though.

@digitacontinuum @Gaming_bo3gg The regular person uses their phone daily. If you're going to pay $1k for a PC gaming handheld, you might want to reconsider your priorities. Especially when arguably there's better options, like the steam deck.
