@AskMichaelTaiwo At the Purdue COP Research Day, I visited Simi’s poster and listened as she explained her work on. What stood out wasn’t just the science, but how clearly she communicated it, I still remember her explanation to this day. That’s how good she is. I’m rooting for her to win the 3MT

In 2020, when I interviewed Simisola for the MT Scholarships, one thing stuck with me beyond her grades (6.7/7.0) She said her major drive is to make safer, better and more effective medicines for patients. The confidence with which she said it made me believe her instantly. She went on to win the MT Scholarship. Fast forward to now, she's in her 4th year at Purdue University doing a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She’s working towards making drugs so that patients don’t have to swallow 10 pills a day. Just recently, she made it to the Purdue 3MT finals. Top 10 out of the entire university. She will be presenting 4 years of research in just 3 minutes. The competition comes with cash prizes for the winner, Runner-Up and People’s Choice Award. After her presentation, there will be a 15 minutes window to vote for her. Baylor College of Medicine: 1) Does not offer online PhDs. 2) Is ranked #1 in the country amongst all schools in the United States for Molecular and Human Genetics (the program I recieved my PhD from).
