@jakefromgeorgia @Crime_In_NYC You don’t seem to understand how immigration law currently works. She’s not calling to expand DACA. She’s calling for immigration reform and that getting people documented is the solution when an undocumented person is found, or insta-deporting them.

The principle of "double jeopardy" applies to punishing the same crime twice. If someone kills 15 people, is sentenced to prison, is released, runs out and kills another 15 people, and then gets arrested, you don't jump up, point an accusing finger and shout "Wait a second, that's double jeopardy!"

@artangeIs @Crime_In_NYC Yes they would. Deportation is an explicit part of immigration law. Anyone who has such a remedy taken off the table for them is being given a special privilege (see DACA). You and her are advocating for *expanding that protection* to violent criminals.
