@AlphaKiller2008 @IbnAbdulMalik__ I really hope most shias are not like this idiot and they respect the companions of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Just stop this nonsense and focus on the humiliation the ummah is going through because Muslims are divided!

Hasan Piker is an unapologetic antisemite. Democrats risk losing our credibility to condemn those on the right who traffic in bigotry, antisemitism, & hate when our own Members of Congress & candidates are celebrating or, worse yet, platforming those who espouse hate of any kind.

This is as dumb as blaming a gun manufacturer for the murder someone else committed. Or as stupid as charging a bar tender for a crime just because someone decided to drink and drive. When are you all going to realize that material things and the companies that make them have no accountability in how they are used?!

Major news out of Washington State. It is now the first U.S. state to have divested its own funds from Israeli genocide and apartheid, after the Office of the State Treasurer sold its Caterpillar bonds, worth over $53 million. Caterpillar’s bulldozers have been used extensively during the Gaza genocide and for decades to destroy Palestinian lives, homes, and infrastructure. Moments like this reflect our growing ability to hold major corporations accountable. - via IG: @how2divest

@AbdulElSayed Muslims are the most antisemitic people in the world. That’s why zero “Muslim progressives” are holding their community accountable. Hey Abdul — you talk about AIPAC the exact same way neo Nazis have for decades. You’re not clever and you’re not fooling anyone.

Trump’s DOJ is trying to silence us. They’re intimidating UM and MSU into stopping us from speaking on campus, threatening to pull funding if they allow us. They’re violating our freedom of speech. Why? It’s not antisemitism, it’s the audacity to challenge AIPAC and Israel.
Leo Terrell@LeoTerrellDOJ

Jewish students should not be subject to constant hate and intimidation on their own campuses! Individuals should not score political brownie points by platforming antisemites! Where is the leadership at @UMich and @michiganstateu? Silence is unacceptable! Federal funding should go to institutions that prioritize education, not ideological agendas or tolerated hate. @StopAntisemites @realDonaldTrump @realDonaldTrump @AGPamBondi @ChadGilmartinCA @GatesMcgavick @N_Baldassarre

.@SenatorSlotkin said that she is not familiar with much of Piker’s language but that what she knows of his rhetoric raises concerns for her. “Any equating of all Jews or American Jews with Israel and the Israeli government is a problem right off the bat, and then it sounds like, from there, a cascading set of antisemitic tropes and just the kind of rhetoric that is — I want to read for myself, but sounds deeply antisemitic, consistently, and therefore not someone that should be helping anybody out in the Michigan political environment,” she said. Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is facing criticism from some prominent Michigan Dems — including Sen. Elissa Slotkin and Rep. Haley Stevens, who is running against him in the primary — for his decision to host campaign rallies with Hasan Piker. ji.news/4w6br

Ok after some reflection and talking to people (including locals) that are smarter than me, points 3 and 4 seem way too cynical/galaxy brained. There are local factors at play, and it’s probably not some strategic 4D chess to triangulate a middle path to the nomination between El-Sayed and Stevens. I had completely forgotten that the West Bloomfield Temple Israel attack — where 140 preschoolers could have been blown up — was two weeks ago. And that for many for whom that is still raw — even in a mostly very progressive Jewish community like that — Piker’s presence nearby (both are within about an hour drive) would be raising the temperature, not lowering it. I think the difference in encouraging people to go on a guest on Rogan/Piker type streams — who have said controversial things in the past — and actively campaigning with them is an important distinction. Some may infer the latter as an endorsement of their views. Which, no matter what you think of Hasan, you have to admit that some of what he has said could be hurtful to some Jews at a time when many are already deeply concerned for the safety of them and their children. For those who think McMorrow is bought and paid for by AIPAC, I would like to remind them that they are expressly backing Stevens in this race, and that McMorrow has stressed that she has not and will not take money from AIPAC. Anyway, I’m willing to bet it’s not a strategic move, it’s a line in the sand for her. If you disagree with what she said, that’s fine. Your voice will be louder than those that appreciate what’s she’s doing because that’s what algorithms do — promote conflict. Important to remember that Twitter is not real life. I like Abdul, and totally get why people are voting for him. But let’s not jump to the worst conclusions about other candidates just because tensions are high.
Adam Carlson@admcrlsn

1) I think people in this online echo chamber majorly overestimate how much normal people/Michiganders know and care about Hasan Piker. 2) I’ve had major issues with some things he’s said, but IMO he’s not in the same realm as Nick Fuentes. 3) This pivot from McMorrow seems like a strategic bet that Stevens voters are more gettable than El-Sayed voters, and maybe that more undecideds are deciding between McMorrow and Stevens. And that she was never going to outflank Abdul on being progressive or on Israel-Gaza — essentially conceding the left lane and trying to chart a Goldilocks path to the nomination. 4) Whether intentional or not, I think this will make it more likely that AIPAC will turn their fire on El-Sayed alone, rather than both McMorrow and El-Sayed (which seemed to be their plan before).

.@MalloryMcMorrow working hand-in-glove with the Trump administration to try and get UMich and MSU defunded, all so that she could peacock for pro-Israel donors with degenerate racism against her Egyptian-American opponent in the Dem primary. We saw this same script last year.

Nice try Ro. I'm my own candidate, and you're a hell of a lot richer than I am. When you talk about "elite impunity", do you mean like the impunity from 149 conflicts of interests for insider trading that the New York Times accused you of? When you talk about treating women and girls as dispensable, are you talking about when you brought a Epstein solicitor as your special guest to the State of the Union? When you talk about "the billionaire's candidate", are you talking about yourself, who has accepted money from Peter Thiel and more billionaires than any other Congressional candidate ever? Sit this one out.
Ro Khanna@RoKhanna

The billionaire's candidate who is upset I am standing up to the Epstein class and a culture of elite impunity that treats women and girls as dispensable.
