@benthorp @jaredhmoore @PrestonSprinkle With all of that said and agreed to, the post is regarding him approving of being "enamored" of another man's wife's breasts. I guess you can call me crazy, too.

Do you want Preston Sprinkle around your beautiful daughter? He writes, “The man details the physical beauty of the woman beginning with her head (Song of Solomon 4:1-3) and slowly moving downward. He expounds upon her eyes, hair, teeth, lips, mouth, temples and neck, concluding with her breasts, which he says, ‘are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browse among the lilies’ (4:5; cf. 7:3). The Bible condemns lust and having sex outside of a male/female marriage. But as seen here and throughout the Song, there’s nothing wrong with noticing, enjoying or even being enamored by the physical beauty of another person" (Upside-Down Kingdom Bible, 841). Call me crazy, but if you're enamored by a woman's breasts you're not married to, you're lusting.

@MiddleBrownie @jaredhmoore Agreed. But that's also what @PrestonSprinkle says. He condemns list. His point is that attraction that happens prior to marriage is not sinful, not that you should be lusting after strangers. I feel like you're trying to make it sound more sinister than it is.

@benthorp @jaredhmoore God's context is the context of the book. Two people in love, about to consummate a marriage. In no way does it give license to lust at a stranger.

@benthorp @jaredhmoore No, the way Sprinkle is presenting it is to take it out of God's context and use it to justify leering at women other than one's wife.

@MikeCovell We're currently paying well over £120 a month to Stagecoach to get our two teens to school. Bus passes were free in my day. He needs to address that. We're not millionaires.

@HullTeslaModel3 Morrisons usually have thick sliced bacon - 8 rashers rather than 16. It's great.

Bacon thick enough!? 🥓 2.5kg worth for £4.99 from the cash & carry. Must be the ends that can't be sliced thinly.

@johnbotkin @BMcGrewvy @megbasham Part of the problem with the SSA debate is that we've made marriage almost salvific, and therefore have had a poor understanding of singleness and the possibility of living a full and abundant life - including appropriately intimate relationships - without sex and marriage.

@BMcGrewvy @megbasham Purity issues aren’t fixed by marriage. Plenty of men are married and still fall to impure thoughts, porn, adultery, etc.

If an earnest young straight single dude said "I believe I have a calling to ministry, but at the same time I'm really suffering in my singleness and struggle with purity every day," prudence would dictate he shouldn't take on ministry burdens until and unless he can marry. /1

How fantastic is this? Amazing design for the cover of Orwell's 1984. The designer is David Pearson.

Yep, I hear you - - making a “joyful noise to the Lord” is way more about heart than art…but if you decide to post it online, you’d better have your spiritual armor on.

@JoshuaBarzon Trying to look beyond the stylistic question, I think my main concern would be that it isn't congregational worship. Whilst there might be a place for individual expression, I think that should be separated from the corporate expression.

In John 14, Jesus describes an profound mutual indwelling. The believer is not an isolated observer of the Divine, but is drawn into the very fellowship of the Trinity. Obedience is the natural overflow of this union, as the Spirit makes the presence of the Father and Son a felt reality.

I just finished the Red Rising trilogy and, omg, one of the best fiction stories I've ever read. I flew through these three books in under a month. I only wish there was more. What are some other series that you consider on the same level?

I feel so fortnight to have been called by God from the very start into interdenominational ministry. I’ve required a good bit of grace along the years in my awkwardness from groups that were new to me but I can’t think of a time I left their midst without some kind of blessing.
