Bashar al-Assad stayed in power for 13 years after crippling sanctions turned the Syrian economy into a lemonade stand. Anyone who thinks this blockade will get the IRGC to collapse has zero understanding of the Middle East.

Goldman Sachs #Bitcoin Covered Call ETF Another one joining the group. Unlike the BlackRock version, they plan to write calls on 40% to 100% of the fund’s Bitcoin exposure. BlackRock was targeting 25% to 35%. Both appear to follow the 25% concentration rule, meaning they can only directly hold 25% in Bitcoin, with the rest coming through synthetic exposure. Very similar to $BTCI — but we haven’t seen how this will actually operate yet. The big question is: Will this be like $GPIQ and capture 90%+ of the upside, or will they mess it up and only capture ~50%? sec.gov/Archives/edgar…

Day 61 of the paused war and 22 of the cease-fire. As you can see, there is no improvement in Hormuz flows.

OpenAI may no longer be a nonprofit but it continues to be—and may always be—a “never made a profit”
Chief Agenteer@ChiefAgenteer

@GaryMarcus The irony may be that OpenAI won't make the incomes it is projecting and will be a non profit of a different type.

The US is importing crude oil from Venezuela, and exporting diesel, gasoline and jet fuel to Europe. With Venezuela no longer sending oil to China, it is mostly going to refineries in Texas and India. Then those refineries are shipping gasoline, diesel and jet fuel to desperate markets in Asia and Europe. The new energy superpower is the USA. China's discounted sources of oil from Venezuela and Iran have been cutoff. The major beneficiary is the USA.

Those that claim the US dollar dominance is at risk or in decline, due to the Iran war, are completely wrong. The US dollar is becoming even more dominant in international transiations. The US dollar's percentage of international transactions rose to a record 51.1% in March. The world is still betting on the USA as the world reserve currency. China is not an option due to capital restrictions. Europe is in economy stagnation and decline, so the Euro currency is not really an option. The "news" media is trying to sell a narrative, but the data is clear. The US dollar still dominates trade and it is growing, not declining.

The Islamic regime in Iran (a member of OPEC) is NOW BURNING its OWN crude OIL at the wellhead, as Trump has blocked its exports through the Strait of Hormuz. Imagine if the UAE steps in, it CAN FILL the supply GAP IMMEDIATELY. The only stable, high capacity energy power in the region. No oil sales for the filthy Islamic regime in Iran means no money for drones, NO FUNDING for TERROR, no fuel for instability, whether targeting Dubai, Kyiv, or civilians as seen in the October 7 attacks by Hamas-Muslim Brotherhood terrorists. The UAE and the U.S. don’t just respond to crises, they reshape the future: strength, stability, and PEACE.

Wow… just wow. I’m hearing some wild claims about $BITA from BlackRock — specifically this idea that it’s going to produce a 27%–41% distribution rate. Let’s be clear: anyone pushing that narrative does not understand how these strategies actually work. They’re only writing calls on roughly 25%–35% of the notional value. There is no realistic way to generate those kinds of yields with that level of exposure. The math simply doesn’t support it — and you can verify that directly on page 2 of the filing. Also, an important distinction: this is a 1933 Act fund, not a 1940 Act fund (see page 1). That matters in terms of structure, transparency, and investor protections. Don’t fall for the hype around this fund. I’ll break down the options strategy in detail once it launches, but based on what’s been presented so far, there’s nothing here that suggests it will be a standout for income generation. And frankly, I haven’t seen anything from BlackRock’s covered call strategies that has impressed me on that front. #Bitcoin sec.gov/Archives/edgar…

Not expecting the UAE to FLOOD the market once the war ends and Hormuz flows resume. But will they will have the flexibility to produce higher than their prewar quota. #Opec #uae

After leaving OPEC, the UAE can now freely increase its oil production, thanks to the Fujairah Pipeline that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz. The Emirates had planned and developed this independent export route for years, enabling it to add up to 2 million barrels per day. A strategic game-changer in global oil markets that could help break the grip of high prices 😎

The UAE now owns so many assets around the world, that the high price of oil hurts our global business interests, more than it helps our oil revenues. The UAE cares about the global economy because it's invested, and there is no longer a need, or a benefit, to extracting oil profits through a cartel.
