@bitbento @karat_sidhu @Dimillian Any insights to share? 🙂 so far I wonder why the agent always consumes the full workflow file, regardless of the stage. And why it has to do orientation manually

Symphony forces you to bring your project manager skills to the table. I like it; it makes it much easier to track all the tasks in the end.

Tips for getting the most out of OpenAI's Symphony (what actually worked for me): - Have an agent do an assessment of the task first to pick which model to execute on. You don't need the most powerful model to write docs - The "Merging" lane doesn't need 5.4 to land a PR. Cheaper models handle them just fine and can save you some tokens - Create a Testing lane so lightweight models can test the output and refuse/approve the work before you review it - Have Codex improve on the web dashboard, I had it create a log console per task so I can see which models are being used for what tasks and what is slowing them down - Create helpers for common tasks so it's clear to agents how to get them, e.g. I created a small bash script so agents can easily fetch ticket details from Linear and update the task - After each batch of tasks, spin an agent to analyze past sessions and identify bottlenecks, continuous learning and improvement Symphony is quite impressive but will still eat your token budget alive if you don't pay attention

@karat_sidhu @Dimillian it’s a token guzzler for sure but you can study the implementation (and spec) and iterate to research where the usage is mostly going towards, there’s a lot of room for improvement

line diffs are 20 years old. they still can't tell the difference between "renamed a variable" and "rewrote the logic." your diff tool doesn't understand your code, it never did. we fixed that, introducing Semantic diffs!

BREAKING: Proof—a new product from @every It’s a live collaborative document editor where humans and AI agents work together in the same doc. It's fast, free, and open source—available now at proofeditor.ai. It’s built from the ground up for the kinds of documents agents are increasingly writing: bug reports, PRDs, implementation plans, research briefs, copy audits, strategy docs, memos, and proposals. Why Proof? When everyone on your team is working with agents, there's suddenly a ton of AI-generated text flying around—planning docs, strategy memos, session recaps. But the current process for collaborating and iterating on agent-generated writing is…weirdly primitive. It mostly takes place in Markdown files on your laptop, which makes it reminiscent of document editing in 1999. Proof lets you leave .md files behind. What makes Proof different? - Proof is agent-native: Anything you can do in Proof, your agent can do just as easily. - Proof tracks provenance: A colored rail on the left side of every document tracks who wrote what. Green means human, Purple means AI. - Proof is login-free and open source: This is because we want Proof to be your agent's favorite document editor. Check it out now, for free—no login required: proofeditor.ai
