Hey Macbook Pro M4/M5 Max owners, Does running Conductor, Codex, Terminal, an email app, Slack, Chrome, Telegram, Messages, Spotify, and like 19 other random background apps hold up fine? Asking for a friend with a M1 Max laptop. 🙊👀

Perhaps there should be a feature @nikitabier, that when someone uses your profile picture and/or bio you get an alert of some type? Maybe this is too niche of a feature, but my lord it’s annoying!

@anothercohen @tzack12 @willahmed They consider walking a very sub optimal activity so all tracking regarding that is horrible and then whoop app was telling me you could manually add

Whoop vs Fitbit Air strength training tracking this morning: - Fitbit Air claims I burned 474 calories (lol) - Whoop likely much more accurate at 215 calories burned - 8 bpm different in average HR during workout - Whoop seemed to track the HR spikes better - Whoop is much better at visualizing intensity of workout - Couldn’t track Oura as I can’t lift with a ring on!

Some of the best conversations don’t happen in a boardroom, they happen over a morning coffee. That’s exactly what it felt like sitting down with the brilliant @nikhilkamathcio. Within five minutes, the vibe was so authentic and the thoughts were flowing so seamlessly, I felt like I was right there with him on a live episode of his WTF podcast. We dived deep, trading insights on the future, exchanging disruptive ideas, and realizing just how much synergy and shared alignment we have in our vision. Beyond the strategy, we realized we share the exact same DNA, a fierce belief in the India story, a rock-solid code of ethics, and a genuine passion for championing game-changing startups. And speaking of incredible startups... you can't miss the watch I'm proudly flaunting! @Rotoris is a phenomenal investment both, Nikhil and I backed together because we truly believe in Indian talent.  Here’s to more great times ahead! @AakashAnand25

Yooo wait a minute this is a super cool idea for AR glasses! But it should go much further: instead of just a minimap, actually render the ghost in 3D in front of you like in Mario Kart. And then... actually put some item boxes in the air that you need to jump to collect. And you can shoot your ghost with a green shell. And you can put banana peels for your ghost. This may be what it takes to get me into running. Maybe a new side project, if nobody is doing this yet?
Stijn Spanhove@stspanho

🏃‍♂️ I've gamified my own run so I can race my own ghost with the Meta Ray-Ban Display. I built a web app for the glasses, loaded a previous GPX from Strava, and dropped game mechanics on top. Pick up coins when you keep pace, sprint zones reward extra points if you push, and a mini leaderboard on the lens shows how you're tracking against your past self in real time. Best part: it actually works. Seeing your ghost 20 m ahead is a way stronger nudge than any number on a watch. 😅

@levie @garrytan In my opinion this just doesn’t apply to CEOs, it applies to all the hierarchy of executives, everyone needs to get their hands dirty if they really want to understand

CEOs are uniquely prone to AI psychosis because they’re sufficiently distant from the last mile of work that still has to happen to generate most value with AI. So when they play with AI, they see the happy path results, often not considering the next 10 or 20 things that have to happen to get sustainable results from agents. “Look I made this awesome product prototype”. Yes but you didn’t have to review the code before it went into production and fix a bunch of issues. “Look I generated a contract”. Yes but you didn’t verify all the terms before it goes out to the counterparty and didn’t have to wire up all the past contracts to work with. The best thing you can do as a CEO is to use AI a *ton* to figure out the real implications of agents in the enterprise, and come out the other side with an appreciation for both the upside and the real work that goes into them.
Michal Malewicz@michalmalewicz

CEOs are the most delusional about AI. Detached from reality.

Was going to think of a creative Chindian cocktail and realize that it’s probably just an ice cold Tsingtao with a double shot of Johnnie Walker Black Label on the rocks. Will see if an uncle can bring.
Mike Wang@zmwang

My wife and I are organizing a pop-up SF Chindian Meetup this Sunday (11 AM - 1:30 PM). Vibes: Potluck + dim sum energy. Bring your friends, parents, grandparents, kids. I'll be bringing batch 3 of my mapo paneer experiments! RSVP in the link below 👇

Retatrutide phase 3 obesity trial just came out and the results are genuinely insane: - 28.3% bodyweight lost on 12mg over 80 weeks - 70.3 pounds on avg. or 31.9 kg - 45.3% of patients hit 30%+ weight loss (this is bariatric surgery territory) - 30.3% weight loss (85 lbs) at 104 weeks in higher-BMI patients - 65.3% of 12mg patients dropped below the obesity BMI threshold - 19% loss on 4mg over 80 weeks (47.2 lbs) with fewer dropouts than placebo (4.1% vs 4.9%) - significant drops in blood pressure, triglycerides, non-HDL cholesterol, waist circumference, and hsCRP - no cardiac or liver signals Retatrutide is going to completely overshadow tirzepatide and semaglutide, and take the throne as the best-selling drug of all time.
