@zapatas_mom I don’t think it’s that we dislike walkable cities. I thinks it’s more like, since we had the space to spread out, and most development happened after cars were common, developers figured why NOT spread out. And now the “more land good” mentality is ingrained in our culture

Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard. Artificial turf contains crumb rubber infill made from recycled tires, which leaches chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These compounds are linked to hormone disruption, carcinogenicity, and systemic inflammation.
I don’t know how I missed it. It makes me question my basic competence in life.
What gets me is that I try so hard to survey the world of potential idiocy. Then I find out there’s a monument to idiocy sitting right in front of my face that I was blind to.
I’m removing the turf, yet I’m still stuck with this seemingly unsolvable problem of how to not be an idiot.

Another ten years of Democrat governance will have cougars dropped from attack helicopters into people's backyards. x.com/christopherruf…
Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️@christopherrufo
The craziest thing about Newsom's $100 million wildlife bridge is that it will allow cougars, an apex predator, direct access into a suburban neighborhood filled with pets, children, and the elderly. It's like the radical environmentalist version of The Purge.

@dieworkwear Are you aware of a good write-up explaining the various popular styles of leather jackets, and the styles/personalities they align with?

@c_muney @kofidereVT Yes - so good! Putting cold rice in a pan and crisping it before putting the eggs on top is delicious, too.

@Corvography @hubermanlab I’ve seen multiple places note that right after a workout is most effective for muscle growth. But also that consistency is important.
English

@hubermanlab So does it not have to correspond to workouts? Not knowing when is optimal, I generally have a creatine gummy (a healthy excuse for sweets) shortly after lifting weights

@IncomeSharks @pepemoonboy Should be zero. All the clickbait would disappear.

@Mubarak_mubious Don’t drink anything when you eat, including water. Chug water throughout the day, but not while you eat. It’ll force you to chew better and eat slower.

@hrJonGant @coughdropsh Idk it was whoever decided it was ok to stop the legal system from enforcing crime.
English

@c_muney @coughdropsh Implants notice you people who have been here forever let things unravel.

@coughdropsh The “implants” want to know how lifers let it get this bad.

@CountryTasha86 @DrRhino7777 I would build off that comment by suggesting, before the first rep, “pull” yourself down into position to take slack in the bar. Will prime your core and back. There is a really old video on YouTube by a dude named Alan Thrall that kind of explains this. Great video.

So I haven’t done conventional deadlifts in a long time because I could never get my form right and got mad at myself. Nothing new right. 🤦♀️ I think I get it but then I don’t. I’ve worked with the trainer, watched hours of videos, taken advice here and there but for some reason my mind and body don’t connect. I feel like I’m squatting too much here but I’m going to master these on this reset. So please in a kind way hit me with advice. 🫣Also this grip works better with my left side issues. 🙃

So, the Senate should rewrite the SAVE Act:
-Make the first Real ID or first passport free.
-Allow for more forms of photo ID to vote.
-If no photo ID is available, allow people to use 3 non-photo documents to prove identity.
-Give a 20-year buffer before any ID is required (just like the real ID law).
-Set up an office to help people obtain their IDs for the next 20 years. One that operates outside regular business hours too.
-Make voter registration automatic.
-Allow all forms of vote-by-mail in every state for every person who requests it.
-Allow at least 2 weeks for people to cast a ballot.
-Make Election Day a kind of citizenship holiday where everyone gets a paid day off
