It's Mad Max at sea.
People love Mad Max.

Waterworld (1995) is over-hated. Strip away the budget jokes and what’s left is a huge, strange, ambitious adventure packed with real stunts and a fully built world. It’s messy, but there’s way more movie there than people remember.

@beeforbacon1 @digitalfoundry I like the way it looks, it's that simple. You seem a bit more invested than I am, lol.
English

@cbo305 @digitalfoundry what about it looks amazing exactly? The generic instagram face filters, the busted artifacts in various background assets, or perhaps the extremely unrealistic "perfect lightning" all the time?

To be clear, I’m not suggesting Israel had some master plan to draw the U.S. into a war with Iran. It seems more likely they were acting on their own objectives with the decapitation strike on the Ayatollah. Even with Mossad’s capabilities, it’s hard to imagine they could fully orchestrate the timing of that meeting. they would have had to work within whatever timing the Ayatollah and his circle chose.
That said, the strike almost certainly altered the timeline and level of preparedness for any broader action involving Iran. If the U.S. had already been planning an operation of this scale, at this exact moment, then Israel’s strike wouldn’t be cited, like Rubio did, as a meaningful influencing factor in starting a war with Iran.
English

@cbo305 @GBNT1952 Rubio addressed the timing in regards to the talks that took place prior to the attack. He wasn't talking about the reason for the threat to attack itself, which existed prior to the talks.
And by the way, it wasn't Israel's president that told the protestors help is on the way.
English

Can anyone please show me credible evidence that the tiny country of Israel, which is the size of New Jersey with a population of 10 million people (of which 25% are not even Jewish, mind you), somehow owns the government of the single greatest superpower the world has ever known.
Because without some sort of evidence beyond “they blackmail us,” “because AIPAC owns politicians,” and “some influencers say so,” making this claim would be like making the claim that Armenia controlled the Roman Empire in their prime.
It’s asinine.
English

@BrickellDave @Luci3Furr @UAPIntel @GBNT1952 Israel has shown time and again that it's more than capable of targeting senior officials whenever it wants, whether they're in the same place or not.
English

@cbo305 @Luci3Furr @UAPIntel @GBNT1952 It actually has more to do with this being the one chance to knock out the regime once and for all. Because of the 12 day war last summer, a product of Iran’s aggression - Iran has no air defenses, no nukes, and was on the ropes with their ballistic missile capability.

AARO and USG: We have no evidence of any aliens.
Trump Admin: We’re gonna publish some ufo files
AARO & USG: Ok cool. Where?
Trump Admin: aliens.gov

@opngate Crazy some people still don't realize the US is not a theocracy.

Yeah bc it’s wrong to pick one religion over another in school or govt, It has no place there.

Right. So, a reactive military operation due to Israel's planned strike. Tell me where we're disagreeing and why I'm a muppet. Because if I'm a muppet, and we're agreeing, then you're a muppet too. If I go down, you're coming with me 😆And what is this "we" stuff... you got a mouse in your pocket?
English

@GBNT1952 "Imagine being this naive and uninformed…"
What a drama queen 😆
English

@cbo305 No, we decided to take control of the strike because we would have met retaliation regardless. Obviously we are going to want to be the lead in any military engagement that will ultimately affect us.
Imagine being this naive and uninformed…
English

@GBNT1952 So, are you saying Marco Rubio was naive and uninformed?

Intel gets fired for contradicting this president's narrative. This line of questioning intentionally put her at a crossroad as everyone in that room is aware of the precedent set by the firing of Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse. She could have chosen to tell the truth, but she chose to keep her job instead.
English

@Acyn @Pisces_February Is she that stupid or just trying to deflect?
English

Ossoff: Was it the assessment of the intelligence community that there was an imminent nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime?
Gabbard: The only person who can determine what is and is not an imminent threat is the president. It is not the intelligence community's responsibility to determine what is and is not an imminent threat.
Ossoff: It is precisely your responsibility. This is the worldwide threats hearing where, as you noted in your opening testimony quote, you represent the ic's assessment of threats.
English

@Acyn Firing the Director of the DIA for providing a battle damage assessment that didn't fit POTUS' narrative points set a clear precedent that the Intel community was no longer allowed to provide Intel that contradicts his talking points.

“Which agency classified this?”
“Nobody, it was done here”
“…the House classified it?” 🤣🤣🤣
Even Rand Paul isn’t buying his bullshit
Aaron Rupar@atrupar
Markwayne Mullin's responses to questions about his supposedly "classified" foreign trips (that he didn't disclose to the committee) are bizarrely evasive

Jewish people and the government of Israel are not the same thing, and people need to stop treating them as if they are. Criticizing a country, its ledership, or its lobbying influence is not automatically bigotry. We don’t treat criticism of other governments as hatred toward an entire religion, and Israel shouldn’t be the lone exception. Real antisemitism is obviously wrong, but accusations of it also shouldn’t be used as a shield against legitimate policy disagreement.
That may, in fact, be the goal of some though: to silence genuine policy disagreement through accusations of antisemitism. Antisemitism does exist, and on a sadly large scale, but these kinds of mischaracterizations do nothing to help the broader fight against actuaal antisemitism.
English

I respect differences of opinion on Iran, but blaming the “Israeli lobby” for the war echoes some of the oldest anti-semitic tropes, dating back centuries, the false idea of a hidden Jewish cabal secretly controlling our country. That has no place in our party. I will not be a bystander when I hear this racism.
English

From what I understand, this wasn’t some neat stack of solid material sitting there ready to be grabbed. And if the facility entrances have been collapsed, how exactly is this supposed to work? This wouldn’t be some quick in-and-out SOF raid. You’d need a major operation with combat engineers, heavy equipment, security, logistics, and likely a sustained presence on the ground. Doesn’t seem very realistic.
English

U.S. President Donald J. Trump hasn't made up his mind yet on whether he wants to send American special forces into Iran and seize the country's nuclear material, which would be a very dangerous operation, with him telling people close to him in private conversations: “I have a lot of decisions to make,” sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.
