Let's start with Cooper Newby @CooperNewby44, who was selected as the 2nd Team All-District catcher. A switch-hitting sophomore, Cooper caught a whopping 233 innings, throwing out 11 runners and committing only 1 error, while managing a pitching rotation full of top arms. At the plate, in districts and playoffs, Cooper batted nearly .300 and was 5th on the team in base hits, highlighted by a 3-for-3 night in a big win vs. Byron Nelson early in district play. Cooper is ranked as the 61st best prospect in the state of Texas by @Texas_PG and 63rd in the state of Texas by @PrepBaseball_TX . As he returns for his junior season in 2026, we will be looking for big things both offensively and behind the dish. Congratulations, Cooper! @SLCAthletics @CABCSLC

This is how I like lessons to go, hitting lessons are supposed to be a conversation, I’m trying to make sure the player truly understand why we’re doing things and I want to know what’s going on in their heads and what they’re thinking and feeling!!! Hitting is a feel you’re not looking at yourself when hitting so sometimes what you feel you’re doing, you’re really not!!! Stop taking reps with no purpose talk about it

just watched this whole video and counted how many pitches were either down the middle or hanging breaking balls and the number was 36.

“[Mavs fans] are gonna be loud. I honestly didn’t think it was that loud [in Boston]. There’s a bunch of rumors about how Boston’s gonna be so loud and so nasty, and I thought it was gonna be worse.” Dereck Lively on returning home and how loud Celtics fans were. (via @TomerAzarly)

I have a request: Normalize MLB managers running out to argue with the iPad in their hands to physically show the home plate umpire just how wrong/awful their call was Aka channeling their inning Pat Bev putting a camera in the ref’s face
