@mileswithshell Had an interaction this week where I had to recall Belfast being very different when I was growing up to how it is now. Arndale & Warrington feel like a lifetime ago, but strangely every time I return to Belfast I feel like I'm stepping back in time.

Always give me goosebumps whenever I pass the postbox at the Manchester Arndale.

@paul_grech @Magpie_Hunter I have fonder memories of the football in the Reebok kits than the kits themselves. I remember buying the yellow/navy 2001 away kit just to watch the trophy parade as all my other tops were in the washing pile (& not great access to washing facilities as a student at the time)

@Magpie_Hunter Reebok kits seem to split people between those who love them and those who hate them!

I'm not sure that those of us who actually lived through the mid-90s are as nostalgic about the kit of that era as those running Liverpool's commercial department are.

@paul_grech That kit is connected with one of my most traumatic memories and the cup final, but my god I loved wearing it when I first got to see the team I loved play live at Windsor Park... Robbie with his bleached blond hair. That said, I'm going for the drill top rather than the kit.

@LFC I'd just arrived at my hotel in Austria on my 1st Skiing holiday. A traumatic morning due to the parking transfer at Manchester, but sat by an open air fire, gluhwein in hand, surrounded by snowy peaks score updates started coming through. What a way to turn things around

Today we got the train to Blackpool North then walked to Lytham. A glorious sunny day on the beautiful Fylde coast. 10 miles. Chippy lunch (dog got her own sausage of course). Plenty of much needed sunshine.

@Kop202 Moved to Liverpool in 1997 for university, and spent most of my time in the city centre until 2004. Even though I've never left the city, the centre is completely different from then. Then again my home city of Belfast from 1997 til now is 🤯

I only found out yesterday that on Google maps street view you can look at the previous historic versions. It’s like a time capsule. Spent some time yesterday looking at how Liverpool looked like in 2008. Fascinating.
